Original Review:I've had this handheld tv for 2 months now and I am really impressed. I use it for my bedroom tv right now and have not traveled with it yet. I don't use it for "handheld" purposes, but I have carried it downstairs a few times lol with no problems.Living in the city, there aren't many trees to disrupt my signal, but I still have to adjust the antenna quite often (depending on the channel). This tv is amazing because it is in HD (unlike my old 2002 tv) and I receive about 20 channels. I also receive maybe 2 or 3 cable channels, but nothing to rave over. I hardly ever watch those networks, but it's pretty cool nonetheless. I am still using the antenna Haier provided with the tv so I probably could receive better quality and more channels if I upgraded. I'm satisfied with what I have since it is only in my bedroom. To watch cable, I just go downstairs. No biggie. At first I thought the remote was pointless, but it definitely comes in handy when you want to change channels or view a show's information. On the remote control, there is a dash button next to the zero. It is so you can enter an exact channel. For example, I have 3 channel 45's (45.1, 45.2 and 45.3)...the dash allows you to enter 45-1, 45-2 or 45-3, depending on the network you want to watch. It's definitely a time saver so that you don't have to keep scrolling through the channels one by one. I love that the remote has an info button. Just like cable, you can see what a show is about or who the guests are on a show. That is a plus. But there are a few things about reading a show's information that I noticed. Sometimes if there is an apostrophe, the info will have a question mark in its place. And sometimes the info says "null" and you can't read anything. Also, Mario Lopez was written as Mario L¾pez; Michael Peña was written as Michael Pe±a; and another Michael [Bublé;] was written as Michael Bublū; in the info. Other than the few mishaps, I am very impressed with this handheld television.Likes:-HD channels-Has a Kick Stand (to stand upright)-Has a Remote Control-Easily scans for channels-Remote has a mute button-Remote has an info button-Tv works w/o power plug-Tv (w/o charging) lasts about 1½ hourDislikes:-Constant antenna adjustment {{{though I could upgrade the antenna}}}Overall, I highly recommend this tv because for what it's worth, it works extremely well!Edited Review:It has been 8 months now and the TV works so much better after I replaced the antenna with a newer one. I now receive around 12 cable channels (and a few premium ones too), 20 or so regular channels and 2 DC channels (I'm in Md, so you see why). Sure, it's not like having cable, but who'd pass up on receiving a few free cable channels? Not me! I'm extremely pleased.

I could not be more pleased with this little TV. TV arrived with a very short user's manual (about 5 pages), which took me about 5 minutes to read over. I very quickly had the set working with no trouble whatsoever. I had read the other reviews about about reception problems because of the single pole antennae that came with the TV, so I didn't even bother to install the included antennae. I dug out my old rabbit ears (with "stealth technology") and installed that one instead. Inside the house, the TV scanned 12 hi def channels, all of which I was able to receive. I was surprised that I received that many as I live about 30 miles from the nearest broadcast antennae. Next, I took the TV outside to the porch that faces town, and was able to receive another 5 channels. But this is what really surprised me...I disconnected my "stealth technology" rabbit ears and screwed in the little single pole antennae that came with the TV, and lo and behold, I was able to pick up 5 more channels! What a surprise! After reading so many of the other comments about this antennae not performing, I have to say I was shocked by the results that I was able to obtain with it. And, I had rather use the little antennae, and not have to lug around the rabbit ears. The picture is clean and crisp. My hand held TV's I have owned in the past all required buying lots of batteries of different sizes, which were used up very quickly, so the fact that this TV comes with it's own self contained battery pack is a real plus for me, and you get a car charger included with the TV. I have to tell you, for $49, you just can't go wrong with this TV. Well worth the money, plenty of bang for your buck with this one! I liked mine so well, I bought another for my sister, and may buy one for my elderly mother, too. The sound is at least as good, or better than my old analog hand held TV's. I also like the fact that it comes with a remote control, a little small but it serves the purpose. I am very happy with my purchase, and will recommend to my other friends and family. BTW, this is the first hi-def TV I have purchased, still using my older analog sets, and I have seen a lot of the problems others have with their HD TV's, so, again, expecting set up problems, etc, I experienced none of those problems of any kind.
