I had no trouble installing this connector. It offers a clean look and ensures a solid connection between the ceiling and the track. Given that all the track lights are LED, I'm not worried about the load it can handle. It seems to be of high quality in both appearance and feel. Five stars from me! I hope this helps to make a decision.

The picture in the description shows the part that clips in facing the wrong way. If you installed it on the track that way the opening in the track would be against your ceiling and unable to mount any lights. The two large openings in the metal bracket that the wires are shown going through get blocked by the track. So you have to pass the wires through one of the two smaller holes ( as shown in my picture). The insulation on the wires is very thick so shorting shouldn't be an issue but I still would like to see the holes designed in a way so the edge of the metal can't damage the wire's insulation.That being said this works well. I used an 8' section of track I bought at the local big box store (since UPS doesn't like long packages). The track had three holes, one at each end and one in the center. It probably wasn't needed but since the center hole lined up with the metal bracket I used a sheet metal screw to secure the track to the mounting plate. Once the power clip is installed the plastic cover hides both the clip and the metal bracket. There's two set screws that tighten against the track to center the track so the cover will properly fit.

We wanted to move some track lighting to the middle of a room and this was the right way to do that. It didn't come with any instructions though, so I had to find a Youtube video, but that wasn't an issue as their are a lot of simple ones to follow along with.I will say that we have off-white tracks, so these didn't match fully, but they also aren't pure white either. But once it was up on the ceiling it was really hard to tell the difference in the colors.The kit comes with everything you need, including a plastic cover piece, the adapter part, and the stuff you need to install it with. I didn't end up using the hardware package because I had higher-quality stuff to do it already and I needed different hardware because the unit I had in my ceiling came with a different set-up for installs like this, so I used those parts instead, but all of it looks to be perfectly serviceable from what I can tell.

I struggled for 2 hours, shortened romex & stranded wires trying to get them tucked inside the outer housing. Finally made several wood spacers to fit under base, painted same color. The screws to attach the cover to the base were way too short & an odd size. I couldn't see the holes in the base to get them started. Finally bought some longer sheet metal screws the next size larger. Would not recommend this unit but don't know what else to use.
