After about four hours these dimmer switches (I bough two of them) both failed and melted. They were connected to two different H-tracks with dimmable LEDs manufactured by the same company. Fortunate they didn't start a fire but the melted enclosures really stunk up the place.

When I ordered my track light kit, I thought it came with a wall plug but the description was a bit misleading and found it didn't so I needed to order this H track life end connector. This is for H track and it works well.Installation was very easy, just slide it into the end of the track making sure the contacts on the plug unit match to the track. (2 contacts on one side, 1 on the other)Tighten the small set screwPlug it in and turn the switch to onI took off 1 star since the cord is so short. Unless you have an outlet on the ceiling or seriously high up on the wall, you'll need an extension cord for this plug adapter.

A track for track lights must have a means of connecting the track to an electrical circuit. This Live End serves that purpose. It fits neatly to the end of the track and the other end is connected to the electrical circuit. A Phillips head screw is located at the end of the unit. Make sure this screw is backed away to permit the unit to be inserted into the track. Slide the Live End into the track and tighten the screw back down to keep the unit in place. A cable is attached with a connecter that fits into any standard wall receptacle. Also, a switch is located on the cable which can turn the power on and off.

This is a fairly standard H-track connector. It is basically an H-track endplate with a 120V cable, plug, and on/off switch. It fits perfectly into a standard track and provides power to virtually anything you can throw at it.Construction quality is solid. Cable is of good quality, switch seems fine, and the junction is fine.Given the same manufacturer sells full kits for reasonable cost, this individual unit seems a little pricey.
