I bought this gun safe to store my 9mm hand gun. I wanted something with quick/easy access. This is a nice sturdy safe and it has a cable so it is not so easy to carry off. Using the key to open the safe works very well. Setting up the passcode and fingerprint access was also easy to do. So far, each time I have opened the safe using the passcode it has worked perfectly.When attempting to access using the fingerprint, it is hit and miss if it is going to work. I have even rescanned 2 fingers and still it doesn't always work. When it isn't working and I go back to the passcode, then try the fingerprint again, it might work.Bottom line, if looking for a biometric gun safe, this one is not very dependable. Otherwise, it is a nice safe.

Pros: I like that this gun safe has 3 methods to open it. Two circular keys, a 6 digit passcode and a bio fingerprint reader. You can store up to 99 fingerprints in the memory so you don’t have to try to remember which finger you used to setup the fingerprint reader in an emergency. I recorded all 10 of my fingers as well as my wife’s prints. The reader works very well and opens the safe almost instantly (about 1/2 second). In the event the batteries fail you can also plug this into a USB C cable to provide power to operate the safe. It comes with a steel cable that can be used to secure the safe to an immovable object. (seat frame in your car or perhaps a bed frame). It includes two wood screws to mount the safe to something and a small USB C to USB A cable. It does have enough room for two guns with room to spare. It built of steel and weighs about 5 pounds. Will definitely keep little ones away from your gun while still allowing almost instant access to it.Cons: There are no rubber feet included with this which would really help if you plan to set this on a nightstand or a dresser. The top opens with some force and actually causes the safe to lift up a bit (the top is made of steel so it is a bit heavy and has quite a bit of momentum if allowed to spring open). This can definitely cause some nasty scratches on furniture so I added some rubber feet to it myself to prevent damage.The instructions talk about setting the year and the month on the built-in clock but I could not get that to work. I was able to set the time which displays on the safe when you open it along with a battery indicator. Not really sure how useful the clock will be. It would be helpful to have an option to turn off the beep it makes when opening. If you need to get your gun in the middle of the night the beep is loud enough to alert the intruder. I prefer to be more stealthy and that would blow my cover IMO. Also would be helpful to have a dampener to keep the top from opening to its limit with such force. It makes a loud bang. Again ….stealth.

In November of 2024 the price on this safe dropped to $50, and considering all of the features this model has, it makes this safe the best bang for the buck that I've seen so far.This safe has a great set of features, and most of all, it has a display that shows battery charge state, and it also works as a clock.Buttons have an audio tone when pressed, which can be disabled for silent operation.The lid of this safe is recessed making it a lot harder to pry open, and lid opens with such force that if the safe is not secured, when opening the lid makes the safe jump up so it's best to have this safe secured.Internal space of this safe is large enough to store two pistols, or one pistol and two mags.Finger print scanner works fast and reliably, while having memory to store 99 prints which is twice as much then most other safes in this price category.This safe opens very fast both from key lock combination and fingerprint scanner.While not as convenient as side mounted USB-C charging port, this safe has a front mounted charging port, but nevertheless, charging port is great to have for continues operation without the need to change batteries while not even knowing their charge state.Since it opens so fast, at this price point this safe will work great to store keys/fob/phones and wallets. There are so many car thefts from home properties because owners leave their fobs/car keys in thew open, that it really is a good idea to secure keys/fobs/phones and wallets in small and easily accessible safes like this one.With so many features it's hard to beat this safe at current price point and we're very happy with ours, it works great.

Secure; easily mounted. The fingerprint reader could be improved. The safe required may require multiple attempts to open; this should be a concern. Good value; just keep the key in a secure place in case the fingerprint reader fails.
