They look like they would be fine and you're thinking "it's just a winder they are all made in the same place" yeah no. These are bad. They clip the strings but are incredibly hard to use. Like the clipper part is almost stuck together and no amount of wiggling will loosen it. It's super hard to cut the strings pay $3 more for D'addario who make REALLY good stuff.

I just got this and used it twice so far to restring two guitars. I was mostly impressed with the peg puller (which was the main reason I bought it). I did not have any issues sliding the forks under the pegs at all. I had previously used a winder with a puller that was pretty much useless. This one pops them right out.I've only used it twice so far, so durability is yet to be determined.As a winder, it serviced its purpose fine. I only use winders to un-wind strings to remove and prefer to hand-wind when putting the new strings on. But this worked fine as a winder.I usually don't clip the strings, but decided to test the clipper. All twelve strings (two guitars) clipped easily on the first try every time. I'm sure they may get dull with use over time, but no issues. The clippers were a little stiff, but not hard to use.Overall, this is a great little tool at a great price. I definitely recommend.

This definitely works for my 9 year old and the price is reflective of the product. It’s cheaply made, harder to use than a quality-built tool, and I don’t expect it to last very long. However, until I get over to where my others are, this will do just fine.

These tools are trying to do too much. It's a string winder + cutter + pin puller, and it doesn't end up doing any of those 3 things very well. Most notably, it doesn't cut strings very well or very easily. There isn't any spring or resistance in the handles so it's awkward to get them in the required position. It's also uncomfortable to hold the handles, since one side has the string winder on it and the other side has the pin puller. Plus, the handles are very short so you can't get a good grip on them even if there weren't additional tools sticking out from the ends.Once you get the cutter in the right position it does cut the string but it certainly is not as easy as a dedicated wire or string cutter. I also tested out the string winder, and it works ok but again suffers from the handles being a weird shape - it is not comfortable to use at all.The end result of trying to fit 3 different tools in one device is that it works ok, but not very well, and isn't comfortable or easy to hold and use.You could certainly get away with using this tool if you only rarely work on your own guitars - it's annoying but functional enough for occasional use. So if you only own one guitar and only re-string it once a year, this is probably fine. However if you are more of an enthusiast and will be re-stringing several times per year, I would definitely recommend getting a better set of tools and avoiding this device.
