I'm an avid container gardener with multiple varieties of tomatoes, peppers, citrus, and herbs. I've always relied on sticking my finger in the soil to determine moisture and never had any issues. I know moisture meters are supposed to be more accurate so I decided to get one to try out.The box includes the meter and instruction manual. The meter also has a QR code sticker that takes you to the moisture guide. Using the meter is as straightforward as can be- Just stick the meter into soil and read the measurement.Before using, I did a quick calibration. I wanted to make sure a glass of water would be 100% moisture... It was pretty close. Then I started going around the garden and measuring. I was surprised that most of my plants were just barely in the green. Not necessarily ideal per the included guide, but they all seem to be growing fine so I'll maintain the current watering level.I am marking 1 Star of because the meter does not match the item description. This meter is a lot easier to read than what is actually being used (numbers are a lot smaller). I'm not sure why they decided to change.

Not what I expected at all. The product photos show an easy-to-read display, but in reality, the meter face is super small, quite difficult to read, and doesn't say which end is dry vs. which end is wet. I wanted something I could glance at from several feet away, but you have to be up close. I'm guessing "red" means dry, but there's no information included. I can probably figure it out over time, but 3 stars for not being at all as advertised. Wouldn't recommend.
