Worked for 11 weeks then wires burned. Poor workmanship inside the charger was definitely to blame. The lug for attaching the thick wires into the charger is only soldered on by 6 tiny pins. I Contacted company for warranty. They were horrible stating it is the electricians fault who installed it. And it’s his problem and he should credit me and replace it. Hmmmm some warranty some company. Now I am stuck with a $1100 piece of scrap. And no way to charge my truck at the moment.(1 star because I had no choice)

This is a fantastic EV charger! It was easy to install, came with everything except the right size heat shrink tubing, and very customizable. I installed it 3 months ago and it not only works as advertised but has had several beneficial firmware updates! The dip switch current control is great for installing on smaller circuits making this charger super versatile and the app current control is great for making sure you balance your whole panel current draw (if you need to). I have a 100amp service line to my garage and most of the time this charger is all that's on it so it can charge at full rate but sometimes I have a large electric heater I need to run so I can dial back the charging rate in the app super easy! (worst case scenario is I pop the breaker). This came recommended to me and hasn't let me down!

Update: 1-6-2025 So STILL no call from support. I fully understand this charger won't charge at 80 amps on my 2024 lighting, thats a truck issue, but my charger still won't connect to the internet and despite emails asking for support I've got NOTHING from them. I even asked to speak to someone in legal, nothing. I guess I'll just file a small claims action and let them ignore that and get a judgement, I'll use that to get a different charger. So, I purchased this unit after looking online at options in the 100A range. To be clear not a lot of options!!!!So two things stand out now that I've spent $6,000.00 to ad 2-gauge wire across my property for the 100-amp service.1) First thing that stands out is that I can't connect it to the internet. Thats HUGE deal because without a connection to the internet makes it a DUMB charger in that you can't control when it charges. Thats a BIG deal as it means you have to get up and plug it in and unplug it to get the right rates. The company position is (My internet is "to complicated" I run an eero network from amazon, normal stuff for sure2) Second even thou it works it only charges at 46 amps not the 80 advertised. They are telling me it's an issue with my truck a 2024 F150 lightning, even though I can charge at north of 100 amps on other chargers. So, the tech basically told me to pound sand and hung up on me after an hour if tech support. We are going scorched earth now. I paid for something that does not do as advertised and spend a ton bringing 100A service to that garage. ZERO STARS and I'm going after them in small claims next.

Solid charger but I feel ripped off. It went on sale for $150.00 less than I paid recently and I am more than a little unhappy about that. However, I must say that the unit is sturdy and very well-built.The installation instructions were written superficially and poorly and typical concerns and questions regarding pairing with the router that should have been addressed were omitted. For instance, what do you do if you make a mistake and have to start over? I had to bring in an electrician after the installation a second time to pair it even after calling the company for assistance. The CSR tried to help and was well-meaning but seemed to need more hands-on experience and gave me incorrect information.I know they are working on a poorly written phone application (YouTube) which is frustrating and incomplete. It does not give accurate information about the charging, period! It is virtually free of feedback on what is going on in real-time. I hope they rewrite the installation instructions as well. This was an expensive and experating experience for me and I have lots of home electronics experience.

We purchased our first EV just before Thanksgiving, and was lucky timing when I ordered this charger during their black Friday sale. I installed the charger earlier this week, and have been using a couple of days now with no issues at all. There are a lot of reviews stating it was difficult to connect to wifi, I do not encounter that at all. Connecting to my wifi took less than a minute, followed the step by step instructions and no problem at all. Has not disconnected once. The unit is installed in my garage, and I do have a google mesh wifi router close by in the garage, so I'm sure that helps. We have been using to charge our new Cadillac Lyriq, I've tested charging at 19.2 kWh (80amp) and no issue at all, I've slowed the amps down as well and working great. My only complaint is the tight working space inside the unit. You need to run the the L1 and L2 through the transformer, when using 2 gauge wire, that is a little tricky and take some time to work the wire through without damaging anything on the internals.I wish the app had a few more features, but it works great. I wish it had the ability to set the amps based on the time to charge. For example, you plug in at night, and have set to pull enough amps to have charged by 8am the next morning, or something like that. That would be a nice feature to add

I use my Ford Lightning ER for frequent 100 mile commutes, therefore 200 mile round trip. The truck can make it, but upon getting home at 8pm, to be charged enough the next day I needed a much faster charger than provided by Ford (?35 amp I think). This charger is great. Easily installed (I had it professionally installed). It works without needing to set anything up, but it does have WiFi and can be controlled in more ways that I know. The charge rate in the truck often tells me I am charging at 81amp, so this charger is performing as expected. Also, made in Canada, so good workmanship/quality as would be expected.

Installation was overall a breeze, unfortunately though, there was a defect preventing the main board controller from being powered up.Asked for a refund, will order a new one to replace itedit:Received the new unit, works as expected. 1 caveat though and I've contacted Grizzl-e support about this is that their Wi-Fi setup really sucks. (see ticket content I've sent below)edit 2:Got a reply from support, turns out it's special characters that aren't supported, the "length supported" us up to 32 chars, however, the error message is miss-leading.>>>My problem is with the setup software for the wifi only allows up to 8 characters for the password. This is a poor security practice. My Wi-Fi setup used to have over 16 characters. Now I have to use only 8. Adding an electric charger should not be done of the expense of the security of my home network. If it wasn't as bad as it is, it also forced me to change / reset the network config of every other devices we use. (which is 30+ in our home, and will be another 30+ at our 2nd home). You might be tempted to say that your software is secure enough that even if someone were to be able to access the network the charger runs on we'd be fine. However, loosening the security of the whole network gave potential access to other devices that might not be as secure. All that being said, you need to fix this limitation as soon as possible. For the time being I had to lower the security of my network, but I'd rather keep the level I used to have.

The charger itself is well made and fast charging. The app is not the best out there. And requires a bit of work to set up. You can use it without setting up the app and works great just plug and charge. I do recommend this charger. This is my first EV and love it so far. We have solar panels at home so will see if my bill goes up. It’s been a month now and I have seen no increase in my light bill.
