This really works great. Cleans the grill well and no hard bristles to scratch anything. Easier to use than a bristle brush

So far so good, only zonk I’ll give is it’s difficult to take the pad off. Cleaned my flat top perfectly on the grill.

The handle is very sturdy and long which is great when cleaning the grill. It worked as advertised: I soaked the head in water, and once the grill was 400 degrees, I was able to easily clean my grill surface which had build up from the previous four uses. However, I placed the head of the grill rescue in my container of water and it flipped out onto the concrete. The fall wasn’t quite three feet, but it broke one of the tabs on the head. This was the first use, so I guess lessons learned.

I bought this brush to replace my traditional metal wire brush after learning that the metal can end up in food. This sounded like a great alternative!. It's really not, and to be honest I'm not sure why it has so many positive reviews. In my experience the brush is annoying to use for many reasons.First off the cleaning head is impossible to remove if you have small hands like me. In order to even take the shipping plastic off you have to remove the head at least once. You have to squeeze really hard on BOTH side tabs while pulling. It was so difficult to do that I googled how to remove it to make sure I wasn't doing it wrong. (I wasn't) It was annoying how they kept showing the video of a lady in a bikini removing the head easily. Maybe if I wore my bikini I'd have had better luck. Instead I had to have a friend help me because it was so difficult to do and I was ready to leave the shipping plastic scraps in place and just burn them off!The brush handle is big, bulky, and heavy. This makes soaking the head in water tough because if you try and put it into a cup or something tall it'll tip right over. If you try setting it inside a bowl, it'll even tip the bowl. I ended up filling a plastic bag with water and using that. What a mess. It also soaks up quite a bit of water so you need a decent sized container on the side of the grill while cleaning. The whole "soaking the cleaning head first" is also a little bit of a hassle. It's an extra step you don't need with other brushes. This leaves you with a hot, dirty, steaming rag on a stick, which will tip over it's disgusting contents once you try and put it back into your soaking container.Once it's been used, the head has to be cleaned well and also has to dry out or else it smells weird and probably grows bacteria. I returned it after 3 uses so I dont know if mold would've grown eventually or not, but I felt like it had great potential.Overall grill cleaning wasn't even that great. It doesn't scrape the food/burnt stuff off as well as a wire brush or other types do. I felt like the top part of the grill slats were clean(ish) but the sides were still dirty since the cleaning head didn't really reach between them. And the steam was actually a little dangerous if you cleaned fast because it was VERY hot and you end up passing your hand through it sometimes.I gave it a fair try but at this price it's a waste of money for something that is more inconvenient and not very effective.

***UPDATE***The company reached out to me to see how they could be of help…all I can say is amazing customer service. Very quick to respond and were more than willing to help fix the problem, FREE OF CHARGE. Not many companies that will go out of their way like that. Plus, the fact that they donate part of their proceeds to organizations that support fallen firefighters.I ordered early for Christmas and obviously didn’t open it up until today and realized a piece had been missing or broken off. The handle won’t stay on so it’s useless and I can’t return since the window has closed.

This "brush"? works just as well as they claim. I don't use it very often as my grates are cast iron and seasoned but periodically when I want to get them super clean without the risk of scraping the seasoning off with a bristle brush I will use this. Very solid build.I use this in tandem with the Charbroil Nylon bristle brush and it works great.Cleaning the head can take a bit when you don't have a dishwasher handy but it is still dead simple. I'm not sure if it will last as many uses yet as claimed but I'll still be happy with it anyway.

I first saw one of these at my brother’s. He uses his to clean his Weber cast iron grill. I have a Jackson stainless steel grill and this products works great on both. I heat the grill and use the scraper first; then soak the Grill Rescue pad in water. Using a lot of pressure I slowly work the tool over the hot grill and it steams an wipes the grill surface clean. I just do it before I cook, but you could reheat the grill after you eat and prep it for next time too. It seems like an expensive tool, but if it lasts a full year, I’d be happy to replace it.
