I got the Vinca bare roots. Excellent packaging. And I counted exactly 50 bunches so no worries about them faking the numbers. ;) As another reviewer mentioned, they are bunches of 2-5 healthy stems and roots, so you are getting much more than you would expect. My garden will be magnificent! I will update my review in a year with the growth rather than yet another picture of the rooted plants just delivered.

I got 40 of these spring of last year. They arrived in great shape. Planted in semi-shade, composted, mulched and regularly irrigated. But 16 months later, only 4 have survived. My guess is the summer heat here (central Texas) is too much for them. If you have stretches of 100+ days in the summer, you may want to consider another variety or type of groundcover.

Plants arrived promptly and in good condition. Size was very mixed, some very small but a few large that qualified as 2 plants. About 50 total.Planted in spring, this is a late summer review. Followed planting instruction well.I need hill/berm ground cover under a tree in N. Illinois. Too shady for grass to grow. About 40 total survived. The small plants in the area not getting any direct sun did not do well. Those that have a little sun, maybe and hour or two a day are thriving.I also planted some Bishop's Weed ( snow on the mountain ) they are doing better in the shadiest areas.

Plants arrived looking great, follow the directions for planting and unfortunate most of them didn't make it. Within days they started dying. I have only for left that look good but they are not growing at all. Hopefully they will establish themselves soon and I will not lose them in the winter.

I wasn’t expecting a lot when I ordered these, only because there were not many reviews for these that gave me some useful information about what to expect. I received the bundle of 25 as bare root with about six inch lengths. They came within a few days and the plants looked fairly healthy. They had been in soil as the plant roots were dirty, I kept them in a vase overnight so I could plant them the next day. I put them in my greenhouse (which I bought from Amazon last year) in a standard garden soil in two large barrel pots so I could get the starts growing. I watered heavily for two weeks and most of the leaves have stayed green and fairly healthy. After a couple of weeks I finally saw some growth on about half of the starts. See the photos. All in all I am very pleased with these. I ordered these because I wanted a vining evergreen purple flowering plant that can handle drought like conditions. I live in southern New Mexico and these will see partial sun and shade. So far, It looks like these will survive and I get these planted after some larger more productive growth has occurred. I’m always so careful as to what I plant being things must be somewhat drought tolerant in southern New Mexico.

Looking for something that would do ground cover in partial shade, under trees and bushes in the front yard. I created a slightly raised planting bed under four large bushes, added some potting soil & compost.Planted all 50 of these Vinca Minor in this bed - I'm hoping it will fill the whole bed eventually. It's been 10 weeks, and the hottest part of the Texas summer. I've added misting heads to the flower bed, and planted some Hostas among the Vinca.I can't say they are thriving, but they're all still alive, and have begun putting out new leaves. Not growing as fast as I would like, but they are indeed growing. It took a few weeks after planting before they perked up. The leaves greened up to a dark glossy green... and stayed that way for weeks. A few areas got leaf spot, I sprayed fungicide & pulled spotted leaves. The trailing runners have grown, some are 18" long. Only in the last month has new leaf growth started - these are much lighter green.I'll update more later.So... still a work in progress, but worth the price.
