So I shed like crazy and my hair is long and I’m always pulling it out of the drain which means a fair amount probably makes it down. I can always tell when it’s time to use one of these as the water starts to slow. These work really well, but I don’t use them repeatedly. I use them once or twice and then throw them out since they are only plastic. I wouldn’t risk doing it more than that, but it’s really nasty how much stuff they pull up.

I am astounded at the monstrosity I pulled out of our bathtub drain with this product! Beware, the stuff that you can pull out may haunt your dreams but to have an easily draining tub again is a relief. A simple, effective and budget friendly product that works infinitely better than the liquid clog removers you pour down the drain. Just be sure to remove it slowly from your drain as it can fling disgusting debris.

This worked very well in my bathroom sink. Very quick resolution to a slow drain.

Bought this to see if I could get my bathroom sink draining freely - it sure works! The instructions are clear and simple. I pulled up massive wads of hair (disgusting and satisfying). It worked so well in the sink I tried the shower drain for fun and pulled up a wad of hair about the size of a rat. It’s easy to clean off, and I had none of the barbs break, so I’ve still got the full set to use in the future! This seems like an ultra handy tool to keep around the house and am very happy I bought it.

When purchasing this product I wasn’t sure exactly what it would do. But when I put it down the drain my sink had 3 inches of water in it. I moved it around and pulled it up and then used a paper towel to wipe the stuff off of it. I put it down the drain again, then the water drained out and more stuff came up on it. I put it down one more time and brought it up again. I could not believe that my sink was working flawlessly. There was no water pooling in it and a week later it still works wonderfully. The sink had a straight drain, where is my tub drain was curved. Even though the item is curved I still had some trouble using it in my tub drain. I will keep trying the tub but I’m so grateful that the sink is working better than it has in months. Other reviewer‘s have complained about this breaking off in their drains. Due to this having teeth on it when it goes down the drain, pull it up slowly and if it gets caught wiggle it to get it unstuck and then it comes right up without issues. I love the fact that I can reuse this and just put some vinegar on it to clean it. I also like that I have five of them to use. I shared one with a friend. I would definitely buy this product again.

I ordered a package of these to clean my shower drain, which had gotten very slow, with soap and water building up a quarter inch by the end of every shower. (It's a large shower too.) Having never cleaned out the drain in the 23 years we've used that shower, it was time. I hate cleaning gobs of icky hair and ick out of drains. I hate the idea of using drano too, so I thought I'd try this first. I inserted one of the little green guys down thru the shower drain grate and didn't feel much resistance, but rotated it a bit, hoping to grab what was there. I pulled it back up and, gag, it had a huge glob of hair, etc. on it, and pulled another glob after it, which broke off when coming back thru the drain. I managed to toss the whole item in the trash, then went back for the other glob with my hands, and threw it out also. Great smell, too. Rinsed all the black stuff out of the shower, ran LOTS of hot water down the drain, and it appears to be CLEANED OUT now. Disgusting to do, but easy, and very effective as far as I can tell. I cancelled my order for drain cleaner gel. Don't think I need it now. Wow, I'm impressed, but be prepared for a fairly unpleasant task. I'll use these again!! Just wear gloves and have your plastic lined bag ready to put the junk into.

While I'd love to show you a picture of how well this things works, I don't think anyone would want to see it. I started off innocently by unpacking one strip and cleaning out a particularly stubborn sink drain. Things went well and a decent amount of hair was retrieved from the drain. Great, this thing seems to work, time for the shower. I didn't know my shower drain cover could come off, so I started by snaking the strip through the drain cover until is stopped, wiggled it up and down and around as prescribed and began to slowly pull upward. I continued to pull and the drain cover popped out while I continued to snake out something the size and smell of a rabid ground hog. My shower was draining slowly and now I know why. While the size was shocking the smell was like "interesting". The sweet scent of shampoo and death was not something I was prepared for. Thankfully, I held it together and can confidently attest to the cleanliness of my shower drain. I would highly recommend this product. It does a great job for a super cheap price. I threw the first strip away after two uses. Not because it couldn't be used again, but because I didn't want to ever put that particular strip through that ordeal again. Wow, what an eye opener. Thanks for a great product that work as described.

It worked well and was easy to use. I was pretty grossed out by what was extracted from my shower drain.

This item is something that may or may not work. Its made of plastic. The barbs are pretty big and I noticed that some of them broke off easily. The name of the company that sells it is called EcoClean. They are barely long enough to reach and are not very easy to handle while in the sink drain. I find it ironic that the name of the company is called EcoClean and this item is made of plastic. A recent show on the Discovery Channel that I was recently watching showed our fish in our oceans in the world eating thsse tiny particles of plastic due to all the plastic contamination in the seas. I got to thinking that if this product was used on a boat drain then perhaps it would be more plastic added to the ocean if the teeth broke off while it was being used in the drain. Maybe its made of recycled plastic. There isnt any proof that whatever is in the drain is actually being removed. It could be that a item such as this would actually push the blockage further into the drain if it doesnt catch it with a barb when you pull it back out.
