I really like these saddles. I originally had bent steel saddles. I upgraded to improve sustain. A bonus is it made the tone slightly warmer, which is great because the guitar had a very bight tone that I struggled eq'ing. One slight nuisance was that the screws don't screw in all the way. I needed to pull the saddles very far back to set the intonation. I ended up cutting the screws. So maybe I'd take half a star off, but they do provide 2 sets of screws, so I have a spare.Overall I love the saddles and I'm very happy with the upgrade.

I liked the sound with the bent steel saddles, and this is just a very subtle change in tone and sustain. Almost inaudible. But they are an improvement on the back of the hand from hitting the cheese grater adjustments screws. These are a bit pricey, but look perfect with the chrome bridge. I have been pleased with Graph Tech string trees and TUSQ nuts so I went with the string savers to do just that. I had only broken one string on the bent steel saddles, but I like this brand and have not broken a string to date. The look great on the guitar (but Strats look great anyway).

These are good and good looking saddles, but with a serious flaw. The Teflon string groove in each saddle has a slight lip on each side of dead center perhaps .0001 mm that can catch lighter strings and prevent them from anchoring in the center depth of the groove. This is hardly visually noticeable when stringing the guitar, but will produce a slightly flat tinny sound or even a faint buzz that is barely perceptible but enough to mess up one’s playing fun. I discovered this when I put a brand new set of strings on but couldn’t get the sound quite right. Thought it might be a suddenly troublesome neck nut or a suddenly high fret. After a few minutes of troubleshooting these, I found this saddle issue. If you have this problem look closely at the string (usually high e b g) and if it is just a smidge off true center of the saddle, this is your problem. GraphTech needs to redesign the Teflon saddle portion to fix this issue.

This is my second purchase of these saddles. The first was installed for me in my Dean Zelinsky strat clone. This set was installed by me in a "pawnshop prize" Yamaha Pacifica. Wow...a noticeable difference in sustain and clarity. More importantly, I have already experienced the increased tuning stability that these offer and am once again really glad I did this. It was a bit daunting to get the height and intonation correct, but I took many measurements before I started. A minor quibble is that one of the set screws didn't want to turn as easily as all the others. For my playing style, these are a big plus since I like to "palm" the trem and now it is a nearly flat and comfortable surface compared to what they replaced on this guitar.

what a difference between these and the stock bent steel fender saddles. the stock saddles have no indentation to keep the string from shifting left and right and would go out of tune almost immediately even with stretched strings. after putting on the new graph techs my strat is holding tune...even with brand new strings. these should be stock on strats.

These installed without issue on my Mexican Strat with tremolo. They look better than the standard saddles, they maintain the stock string spacing, and the screws aren't jabbing my hand any more. Well-done Graph Tech.

I have always been a chronic string-breaker. especially when I'm doing big bends. For years I've suffered and cursed as I've broken high E and B strings at a rapid pace. It got so bad that one weekend I broke strings on 3 different Strats while practicing. I had taken to buying E and B strings in bulk...Then I read about these String Savers, and I knew I had to give them a shot. Since my strings almost always broke at the saddles, I felt like these were made for me. I like the classic look of these over the black String Savers, but they're fairly expensive...so what I decided to do is to buy a set of these, and then divide them up on 3 strats, putting two on each guitar at the high E and B strings.and guess what? in almost two months, i've yet to break a string!!! Not once! And I play for hours and hours on the weekends and for at least an hour every weeknight. i bend like crazy. and not one string break! it seems too good to be true, but i'm not lying. these String Savers are a god-send.when you bend your strings, its metal rubbing on metal, the string against the saddle, and that friction just eats into the string and kills it. with these babies, the friction is almost nonexistent, so the strings slide smoothly and stay strong. like i said, for a string-breaker like me, these are a must-have.
