I haven't installed this yet, I have new strings on my guitar, so it's going to wait a while. HOWEVER; I have chopped up picks into slices to compensate my nuts (hahaa, I have several guitars) I can totally verify that these compensated nuts make your chords sound a thousand percent better, especially open chords. If you're tired of sounding out of tune when you just tuned your guitar, worry no more, these will absolutely fix that, and it's a lot easier than shimming the original nut with a sliver of a guitar pick lol

Any guitarist with good pitch has been dismayed that after putting a guitar in perfect tune the first open chord you play sounds dissonant/out of tune. This is the solution. This is my second one, easily tapped in place after tapping out the old one from the side, then used some nut files to fine tune the string height. Looks like the Earvana site is down after a patent dispute with Ernie Ball, who interestingly makes nothing similar,, so I grabbed two extras for future use at this discounted price. Reset your intonation after you install this, and the whole guitar plays in good tune. If they made one in bone I'd buy it, but this material seems very sturdy. Next consider the amazing bridge inserts from Glendale for your strat: hands down best thing for resonance.
