Easy to install, just take your time and fit often. took me a couple of hours to get a good fit. after installing the strings, the G string slot chipped and the string was too low buzzing against the fret. Reinstalled the old nut.

I recently bought a Lava ME4 carbon fiber guitar. I liked it very much, but my fingers are quite large. The string width on the Lava was a bit too close for my big hands, so I wanted to try this Martin nut with wider string spacing. I use my thumb a lot to fret the top E string and I wanted it to sit closer to the top edge of the fret board. After I filed down the Martin nut to fit the Lava nut slot, the top E string was too close to the edge of the fret board. I filed another top E string slot in the nut closer to the A string. This made the Lava so much nicer and easier to play for me. Maybe not for everybody, but I love it.
