The PQ-9210-00 is a great option to replace or upgrade the saddle on your classical guitar. It is 13/32" tall and is compensated to help improve the playability of your guitar.

Wow, wish I had done this years ago. Just installed this nut on my 40-year old Brazilian-made classical guitar, along with a GraphTech PQ620000 TUSQ Acoustic Guitar Nut (ASIN B0043NSWXM). The length is a natural fit. I shaved a bit off the back side to fit the bridge slot. I aggressively lowered the height on the E 1st side and lightly lowered the height on E 6th side. Action is now the best its ever been, and the sound makes me wanna just keep on playing!. New, rich -- and exciting!!! -- sounds are floating out of the guitar. Now enjoying this instrument on a whole new level. A small price to pay for such an sweet improvement.

Installed a TUSQ acoustic saddle classical (PQ-9208-00) on a Yamaha practice guitar - easy to install. Have played with new saddle for about a month. It really has made a noticeable difference. It does all that "graphtech" said it would do - increases sustain and increases harmonic content...the guitar sounds much better and the intonation on higher frets is just right. Really thrilled with the results. Will change to this saddle on my other guitar shortly.

This was a perfect fit in my Yamaha NTX700. That is to say that it needed a bit of sanding to get it to fit. This is the way it should be because you want a nice tight fit. I'm not sure if this changes the tone. I'd say its a bit louder and I brought the height down a bit to improve the action. All in all, I find this to be a useful and easy to do guitar mod.

I needed more saddle height to solve a fret buzz problem. Not only did it solve that problem but improved the sound of the guitar. The new spruce-topped, PU finish guitar had what I call a plasticized wood sound. The Tusq saddle reduced that to a warmer, more "woody" sound. The replaced saddle was bone.

I changed the plastic saddle in my Hohner HC06, and the sound has changed a bit, but not to a very dramatic amount. But this product is cheap, and was worth getting for just that little change. It does need to be filed a bit to fit inside the slide, and filed down a bit to have the same action height as the old saddle. I actually filed it down a bit lower than the older one to bring down the action.

This saddle has improved the tone of my [mid-grade, import] classical guitar significantly. Notes ring out louder, longer, and more sweetly. The difference over the previous, non-compensated saddle is dramatic and hard to believe. My guitar already intonated well, but this has made the notes all along the neck more, well, harmonic with each other. This upgrade represents outstanding value regarding tone improvement per dollar. It includes installation instructions and I installed it myself with the following tools: razor blade, vise, sanding block, small rotary tool with cutoff wheel and drum sander.

Attention all Classical guitarists and also all other acoustic players, if you haven't tried a Tusq bridge insert in your guitar, you're not getting the most out of your guitar. I just put one in my Yamaha CG 170 classical guitar (a reasonably cheap guitar right!?), and this nice little guitar of mine has had its tone, presence and harmonic content increased markedly. They're not too expensive, and apart from a little bit of sanding the underside of the Tusq bridge away from the guitar (no messy modifications required of the guitar itself) so as to match your string clearance preferences, it's pretty easy to upgrade whatever guitar you have. Be sure to check out the Graphtech website before purchase, as an easy guide is provided in choosing the correct bridge insert for your guitar type. Check out Tusq saddles and you'll be amazed by the difference. If you've stopped loving your acoustics sound, these products will renew that guitar to player connection, cause it will sound so good!!! Trust me, Iam not a politician or a senator!!

I got a new guitar, and the action was too high, so I cut the saddle down...OOPS! A little too much.I got this one to replace it. I had to shave this one down too, but I was a more conservative this time.I very happy with the tone and the intonation. Not a huge difference between the stock bridge and this one, but certainly not a step down either.Sounds good!
