This replaced the plastic saddle that came on my Kala-PwC. The improvement to tone and sustain is incredible. I spent about 30 minutes sanding it down for a nice snug fit. I wish I would have done this upgrade a long time ago.

I was able to sand it into a good tight fit and it noticeably improved my uke's sound; I could only wish that it was compensated for string intonation.

This is a great upgrade for any uke that has a plastic saddle. The instructions are simple and it is easy to sand this saddle to the right size for your ukulele. I highly recommend this saddle.

When I installed a on a friend's ukulele, I saw that the factory saddle was really shabby. It had an very uneven bottom which means that it was poor at transferring energy from the strings to the soundboard.This Tusq replacement was a great improvement. I used a hack saw to shorten the length, and sandpaper to fix the height as needed. Quite easy. The material is pretty easy to work with but still hard enough to do the job. I'm thinking of ordering a couple to have at hand for later repairs.Pretty much anyone could do this as long as they're patient about sanding to change the height.
