I've shared a two-roller mill (HullWrecker) with a fellow home brewer for 5+ years/100 + all grain brews. A few months ago, it started to fail. It looks the same, but apparently the nubs on the rollers get dull and will no longer "grab" the grains and force them through the gap. I tried various fixes but could never make the old mill reliable which lead to many a frustrating brew day. We decided to up our game by purchasing a new, 3-roller mill. In short, it's a BEAST at milling malted barley. For sure, the game changer is the "fixed" gear joining the two top rollers as one. As both rollers move under direct power together, they move the grain forcefully through the two gaps and create an awesome crush. They recommend starting at an 0.045 gap which did a great job of milling a consistent grind. At $200, this is more pricey than the 2-roller mills of similar quality. However, the power of fixed-gear rollers with two crushes per revolution is well worth the extra bucks. Do yourself a favor and partner up with a brew buddy to share in the cost of this superior product. I suppose it will eventually have dull rollers that fail me one day, but I smile every time I use this mill. Sorta makes it worth the extra bucks just to hear myself say that :-)

This is my first grain roller mill but I have some industrial roller mill experience. The cost of this mill is great and the components are solid and easy to put together. The stand fits nicely over a standard bucket. I used feeler gauges to check the accuracy of the gap settings and found actual to be about 0.005” narrower than the dial indicator which isn’t too bad. The biggest issue was trying to get the adjustable roller to measure the same gap at both ends. I eventually figured out that the best option for my mill is to fully tighten the non-drive side but leave the drive side adjuster loose. It seems the machining isn’t precise enough. With these adjustments to operation gap is even across the length and wobble with rotation is small enough to not matter. I do like the gap adjustment mechanism, it is very quick to change and consistent.

Screws that hold mill rollers will not stay locked down. Constantly have to readjust. Makes a 10 min task a 30 min pain in the ass.Too late to send back.Other than that it is one hell of a well made mill.

Roller adjustments come loose and change the grind. If you have a full hopper and you're putting a drill on full size grains fall through the rollers. I had to grind 32lbs of grains THREE TIMES to get everything ground. Grinder would grind then all.of a sudden wind up and grind nothing. Grains won't feed into roller continuously. The pasta roller grain mill I built 12 years ago for $25 works better than this thing. Will be returning it. Don't waste your money.

This mill is awesome. After reading the instructions and trying out smaller grains such as wheat or barley and attach a drill to the mill makes life easy this is an awesome mill to buy, but one you won’t regret it

Tho this product says it won't work for corn if you get cracked corn it will work, you just have to go largest setting first then fine tune to your fine grind and mill it a second time

Muy fácil de armar. Muy firme y estético (incluso para ser un molino). Se calibra fácilmente y funciona perfecto para lotes de Malta pequeños o grandes.
