The cassette player/recorder & radio all work just fine. The bluetooth feature adds a modern touch.

Thank you very much for making this cassette player. It is so awesome. Easy to connect to Bluetooth. Good quality. Most of the cassette player and now broken down. The radio quality was very great. Very good price. But I wish it can be a recharge batteries built-in. But overall is still great. Feeling of nostalgia going back when I was growing up.. thank you so much

Was very anxious and spent a day looking at options and landed on this one. Pretty much what you pay for. But, honestly, I would really payed the double price if they made proper device that "would do it all".Bought to specifically record to tape, listen and (if possible) record back from tape to digital.Have a lot of quirks to work around with, but my first impressions are pretty alright for the purpose PROS:1) Records to tape from radio/microphone and even if you stick 3.5 jack from your phone (you will need male-male 3.5mm jack cable for this). With blank tapes you can open any music/playlist on laptop and record your own "mixtape", great stuff.(You can even do this on the smartphone, at least on android, but quality really depends on your phone. My basic One Plus Nord N30 recorded much worse than gaming laptop for example. But really it means you do this anywhere). Watch out with volume levels on the device, you have to fiddle with it to find right balance: if volume is too low it's gonna be noisy, if too much it's gonna be overblown (db-boosted clipping and scratchy). I can't yet make it record to PC or phone from the tape without any additional stuff.2) Good reception for FM radio3) Overall decent build quality, could be better, could be worse.4) Didn't had any expectation for speaker, but considering the price range and size I didn't hate it. CONS:1) (Biggest one for me) Could really use timer or any kind of display to see precise time left/played on a tape. Not a deal breaker, but gonna nag all the time.2) For listening you have to use batteries or to PC. Connecting to wall plug introduces very noticeable noise to speaker/headphones on playback and recording.3) Couldn't test BT connectivity, but in terms of PC/Phone it does not even show up in device list.4) No auto-stop, if you forget it on REW/FWD then it's gonna drain your battery. Gonna keep an eye if it affects tape in a long run.5) In-built mic works alright, but catch noises of internal mechanisms. External mic pretty much a must if you plan use it for voice recordings.I really consider it mostly 3.5/5 than 4, due to much of unrealized potential in this. Amazon is full of different players/recorders with samey price (~30$) and features, but next price range is 200$+ and nothing in between. I would give 100$ with same features, little bit better quality and feature set. Only exception I've seen on amazon is FiiO 'Hi-Fi' cassette player for 100$, but it only plays and that's it.

A friend gave me a bunch off audio books on cassettes and I needed a player. Looked for used ones but people wanted a premium and I know these wear out over time. I was surprised to find they still produced them, and was a little skeptical that they wouldnât eat the tapes. However, this one works great and seems sturdy. Iâve listened to a couple of books and so far no issues. Weâll see how it holds up over time, but so far it works great and was very will priced.

My daughter loves this. She had it for about 10 months and the radio antenna fell out. It looked like the piece holding it in had come off. She didnât crush it or anything. She had saved the box and looked in and found a 1 year warranty card. I messaged the company and sent a photo and they quickly sent her a replacement! Great follow up With customer service.

Bought this mainly for the bluetooth feature to listen to my old cassette audio books. In short, it's proved to be a pretty good piece of kit. The sound quality through its speaker is "ok" with the usual non-Dolby hiss but the quality is acceptable. The radio feature works ok (it has a small tele' aerial) and the bluetooth feature worked well and the tape hiss disappears into the ether!. I had previously tried a much cheaper product from Amazon which proved to be practically useless and fortunately able to return.

Does what it says on the tin. Value for the money, bought for the bluetooth facility, have a lot of tapes which I need to review.Added bonus of a fm radio built in speaker, highly recommend.

Was looking for something to play old cassette tapes and to record choir rehearsal. Playing professionally recorded tapes is OK, but don't try to record with it. The microphone in the cassette unit is not strong enough to pick up anything but background noise and the sound of the machine unit parts operating to record.Update 5/7/24 While this cassette recorder was not as I had hoped, The customer service was wonderful. I worked with Ivy, who provided an alternative replacement in a quick amount of time. The new recorder has less static when recording, but is still lacking the optimum recording quality that my previous recorders had years ago.

Such great advertising for the product I thought I couldnât go wrong. WRONG.I need to hear perfectly the language learning tapes I have. The tapes play, but the volume of the player just isnât there. At the same time holding up to my ear the sound is Bass heavy and I canât make out the suttle pronunciations. The unit has no treble control to compensate. Next, there is heavy background white noise which follows the volume level so you never get the noise distraction away from you. There is also a variable interference buzz that changes depending how you rotate the player. I even walked away from the house into the street and the buzz never goes away.I tried the same language tape in a home player. It was perfect. So nobody can blame the professionally produced tape.My goal was to Bluetooth play in my car on the way to work. After 2 hours in my Tesla I just couldnât get it to pair. I could get a pairing with my Aftershok headphones except the quality there matched the unacceptable speaker quality. My expensive Apple noise canceling earbuds would not pair either. Now I thought I would try the included earphone. Terrible quality there also.Other things I didnât like are when rewinding a tape you would let the unit run until end of tape and most units shutoff at the end. But here the button remains down, eats battery, until you physically disengage with the off button. By the way, the rewind and FFW speed seems painfully slow.Yes, used new Duracell batteries. I tried the additional power chord and that did not give more power or make better the deficiencies I listed here. The AM/FM radio seemed ok but you really canât hear anything decently unless the unit is held up to your ear.Anyway⊠sending this back as it is a $40 disgrace of time and money.
