These are very low quality cassettes. The shells are pretty, but that's the only positive thing I can say about them. The actual tape inside the shells has a rough appearance (this is not good for the heads in your cassette deck), and the cassettes make excessive noise during play/rewind/fast-forward. If you're only concerned with appearances, buy these cassettes. If you want a cassette that produces good audio quality and won't prematurely wear out the heads in your cassette deck, look elsewhere.

Its an ok product if you are new to cassettes like me. However After getting these and THEN doing more research and learning on Cassettes I've learned that these are very basic quality. They are Type 1 Cassettes. Which means they use Ferric Brown tape which is the poorest in terms of audio recording quality. Type 2 and Type 4 use different metal tape which picks up sounds better with less tape hiss.For a final product I'd like something that offers more audio quality. However I do find these useful for Test Recordings as for me, I only have a 2 head tape deck(Shoe Box Cassette Player) and so I'd have to record then play back the tape to hear how it sounds. Having these tapes does give me the chance to calibrate the final output of my music without having to waste it on the more expensive tapes you can find. Loudness of the songs, Bass/Treble, and Tape types all effect playback quality so keep this in mind if your goal is quality.

I have gone through several bricks of Fydelity tapes and they are just fine in every respect. A couple bricks had the record tabs removed, which is no problem , I just taped them over to record then removed the tape. They’re hard to find at the moment — out of stock everywhere. I hope they return — they ar very stylish.

Beautiful tapes with nice sound quality for the price! They are also very easy to write on and decorate for a potential gift; I used these to make a series of mixtapes for a friend and she loves them! To those saying that some of the tapes cannot be recorded on since the tabs on the working edge of the tape are uncovered, simply cover the holes with some tape during recording and it should record perfectly fine.
