Plastic made Luke a toy! Poor grip! Buy everything from Amazon, but I blame the manufacturer. This is a weak grabber. Looked like a toy. Returning back ! Plus the tool was defective .Next time,I will go to a supply store and get a strong metal tool. Light ,too small. This tool was a waste of good money. Paid like 22.00 for these awful two tools.

I am very happy with the length of the shorter one but it is not as functional as I expected. As you can see in the picture, the grips only meet at the very tip end and it doesn’t hold onto things. It takes several efforts to pick up things like my cell phone. Also it only has a magnet on one side.

This reacher is exactly as described. The people who give low ratings because they admittedly didn’t pay attention to the description drive me crazy.Yes, it is short. BECAUSE IT’S FOR PEOPLE IN A WHEELCHAIR. It is the perfect length for this. I can take it with me and it isn’t cumbersome, I even found a saddlebag for my chair that it fits in perfectly when folded.It can be folded again after straightening, just don’t pull it tight when straightening. It is a bit of a challenge to pull it apart to refold, so I gave it 4 stars for easy to use. I suspect this will get easier as it loosens up with use.

this is a pretty sturdy grabber, but it is not long. I thought 19 inches would be enough of a reach, and it would be really handy and appropriate for Super Markets, but at home, more reach for those high shelves would be helpful. That tiny little magnet (the size of a small screw, maybe) is misleading, as it is a very strong little magnet! It will not fit in my purse but will fit nicely into my reusable shopping bag easily. It extends telescopically a little bit, but not all that much.
