I am a Govee fan and have several products that work amazingly well, but definitely not these. I put them on two doors and....nothing. A waste of money unfortunately

Works most the time with Google Home. Wish it was more reliable. Router is in same room as door sensor and govee ceiling lights.

I've had it installed on my mailbox since July 2023. Battery just died yesterday, November 2024. A solid 15 months of battery life with ~ 4 triggers per day.Keep in mind I live in SoCal. Device and battery withstood outdoor temperatures over 110F during the summer months. A true real-life torture test.I have it paired with a H5080 switch for the Distributed Gateway to work. I haven't had any reception issues, assuming a reasonable distance is maintained. The switch I keep indoors, and the signal has to travel 40 feet, through 2 walls, and some junk for the trigger to register, and it works just fine. Really impressed.Bonus. You can customize the notification sound on Android. I have my notification play the infamous "You've got mail!" audio clip, which I think is kinda neat. Keep in mind, I'm not sure if you can set multiple custom notification sounds for multiple sensors, or if you can only customize the notification sound for all devices (as in all devices would have to play the exact same notification sound).Only gripe is that the battery died unexpectedly. One day I had 3 of 5 bars of battery life, and the next day it was empty. No biggie, now I know what to expect.I rarely write reviews, but I'm just really impressed with this little sensor. Solved a big issue for me, with mail theft being so trendy as of late.

This will not work with the H5040 which is the gateway device for the water leak detectors. It is the round device in this photo. Why a gateway from these devices isn't compatible or backwardscompatible is shady. The water leak detector gateway can received wi-fi signals and send out alertsvia the internet also. I'll probably not buy any more of these Goove devices since they are doing a sortof 'upgrade to the newest' game.

I like the Goovee products a lot. They are easy to set up and to use.

For what it is, it works fine. When you open a door or window it can control GOVEE DEVICE(s) ONLY and send a notification to your phone. Also keeps a log of its use. Decent but lacks so much potential without Alexa integration. Pretty much useless in a real world application unless they do a firmware update to work with Alexa.

I just got this sensor, but so far it works fine. It came with a fully charged battery, even though the product info says the batteries aren't included. It was easy to install and set up. It does not work with Alexa or any other smart home integration, and it doesn't send notifications when the device is triggered. It does keep records of the device being triggered, but I haven't figured out a way for it to result in actual notifications. It seems like it is more designed for "if/then" style commands, such as turning on a light when a door is opened. And if you want "if/then" commands to happen based off of the sensor, then the other products must be GoveeLife brand. None of that is a problem for me as that is exactly what I wanted this sensor for, and I have other Govee Life products. I bought this for my walk-in closet. I have it connected to a smart bulb so that when I open the closet door, it turns on, and it turns off when I close the door.I really like the GoveeLife app and integration. It's super easy to control all of your products with one app, and Alexa integration is a snap, as well (for products that will work with Alexa).
