Featuring precision 16:1 ratio, sealed lubrication, cast housings and removable metal knobs, these are some of the finest tuners available.
The large metal Schaller-style knob is the same as found on many modern guitars. 10mm (13/32")-diameter pegholes required. Sets include mounting screws and threaded hex bushings.
Installation Tips
Mounting screws: Pilot holes required. Installing delicate screws into hard wood requires great care and accuracy. We highly recommend a No.50 bit for the pilot hole before installing these screws. Lubricate the screw threads with cutting lubricant (also wax or a bar of soap) to reduce friction and help them thread properly.

I purchased an MK acoustic with a zircote top and okume back and sides. The stock tuners were awful, all very sloppy and a few also bound up badly. Getting and keeping the guitar in tune was near impossible. The stock guitar hardware is all black and a perfect match with the wood colors so I searched for black replacements. I have used Gotohs on a few of my other guitars and have been happy with them do I decided on the large Schaller style Gotoh tuners for this project.The tuners were super easy to install. The screw holes matched the factory holes perfectly so there was no drilling required.The gear ratio is 16:1 so they are not as “fine tuning” as 18:1 or 20:1 but they are really smooth turning so the ratio factor doesn’t matter as much, imo.After installing and stretching out a set of new strings, I have not experienced any issues with the guitar going out of tune even after playing for a few days.VERY happy with these tuners.

I am a performing singer songwriter in the Ann Arbor Michigan area. While I have a very expensive high-end Furch guitar, I don’t use it to perform in many of the venues because it’s not worth the risk of damaging it.Fortunately, I learned about Walden guitars a couple years ago and have purchased three since a varying sizes and Tonewood combinations.My Walden guitars sound great live but the one thing I really noticed that I was missing compared to my high-end guitar was having really nice tuning machines.These Gotoh Large Schaller Style tuners were very affordable, extremely easy to install, and they have significantly increased my ability to dial in the tuning more precisely because of the 16-1 ratio!Highly recommended!!

So, Had to buy a new guitar becasuse my Ovation is in need of major fret work ( Ihave found a Temporary fix on YouTube which put it back in service) So i bought a Breedlove...I play alot and needless to say the frustration of it going out of tune every 3 songs or so made me regret the purchase.....3 of the tuners weren't right...if it was flat or sharp in tuning it was hard to get it...on the tuner...in the center where it would be correct....Installed these...boom problem solved...I just finished practicing for an hour....stayed perfectly tuned....These were simple to install.....$68 buck purchased made my Breedlove worth, to me, a million bucks.....

These a very high quality tuners. They were a great replacement for my Ltd ESP 256-C over the stock tuners. They feel on par with Grovers and hold their tune very well.
