Great tuners, most importantly they hold stable tuning, look great and appear hard wearing.

I installed these on a Jackson Monarkh. The original tuning heads are borderline worthless and this is an immediately noticeable upgrade. I have HipShots on another Jackson but they are three times the price. The screw holes in the rear were slightly off but not enough to redrill holes. I was concerned about fit because the A and G string configuration is very close to one another, but they fit great. They are noticeably heavier but the original tuners are suspect at every level. There was one was slightly tight and I just sanded off the paint and it slid right in. Even though I use locking tuner I tend to wrap the string around a couple times just for added security. If your guitar is properly set up and you're still having trouble staying in tune I recommend these 100%.

Extremely affordable locking machine heads that do what they're supposed to and look (and feel) quality. Bought a gold set and an extra black set for other acoustic guitars. Very impressed with Guyker.

Most guitars that are any good have decent tuners already. You don’t really need to change them (just practice more and focus on your own technique) but if you want locking tuners then I suppose it’s the tipping argument. The fact that a tuner is a locking tuner doesn’t necessarily mean that it is more stable - it just means string changes are a little bit easier. That said, these tuners are very smooth and very precise. They are excellent and a great value. Just check your guitar to make sure the stock tuner anchor screw is same location and your headstock holes are 10mm. If you need to enlarge your headstock holes it’s easy to do with a reamer or a drill, but be patient and careful.

You read the other reviews yet? good. Okay so: YES, two of mine were a little bit stiff when attempting to screw in the threaded collar that holds them in place. Here's the solution! assemble them out of the guitar first with a bit of rubbing alcohol. run them all the way in and out, blow off the dust. do it again... two or three times and they'll be spinning just fine! if you look at the barrel nuts you can anticipate an issue on whichever one has the most paint. but not a big deal at all! i had them cleaned up in 15 minutes. As for the actual functionality: I love them. FAR superior to the cheap junk that came pre-installed.Better tuning stabilityEASIER tuning. my old ones were really hard to get RIGHT on pitch... these make it easy.as long as you understand that you may have to clean the threads a bit, these are great!

Commandé pour remplacer des mécaniques d'origine qui ont cassé.Très satisfait après avoir rajouté quand même de la graisse sur les mécaniques qui en manquaient totalement pour certaines.Look sympa.

Enormous upgrade!! I didn’t know if a $30-40 “upgrade” would be well spent over PRS’s non- locking tuners with a companies Mech Heads. This is an incredible upgrade for any 3x3 electric fretted phone poll or super refined guitar. LOCKING MECH is a lot like the fender American deluxe strat tuners I love & works damn good for the most outrageous/ nuanced of trem actions or bends returning to tuned without anything mod. of the nut. One pro tip: take 1 of your old wound strings(big E,A,D, or G) and polish up the eyelet by “sanding”meaning slide it back and forth around the hole perimeter at all angles to clean up any potential burrs and ensure nothing wants to break your string. This should be done with any new Mech Head. Build quality is excellent, stability is no comparison even with unstretched brand new strings. If you have a tremolo sys as I do you know it takes a few extra minutes to balance the string and spring tension. I’ve noticed the increased mass on the headstock improves sustain. Sleek and sexy design aesthetically enhances your old PRS/Grover tuners on any “violin” shaped body over the big chunky ones as demonstrated in the photos. Assembly is a breeze; I found my old washer and threaded sleeve with 10 mm hex were heavier from the old set so I used the new with some old hardware with no problems. You’ll be proud of these & yourself if ya get them and plunk ‘em in any 10mm 3x3 guitar head. It’s 10-30 min of work depending on you and whatever cleaning you do during this rare circumstance of having no strings or tuners on your instrument. Oh + the gear ratio makes it so easy to be right in tune 👊🏼🤟🏽👌🏽✌🏼

I installed the Guyker Guitar Locking Tuners (3L + 3R) - 1:21 on my Ibanez AWD82T along with a Graphtech Tusq XL PQL-6010-AG nut. I used a $30 digital caliper I got on Amazon to get the nut to fit with some sanding but then it fit like a charm. I strongly recommend having calipers if you’re a working on a guitar; you can use them to determine if these tuners will fit your guitar, and they are handy around the house for other chores. I selected these because they looked like the original tuners half-melted. These tuners were a drop-in fit with the posts matching the headstock holes and the anchor screw holes aligning perfectly. If the replacement anchors screws are smaller than the original anchor screws I recommend using the original screws. Otherwise the smaller replacement screws may strip-out the hole and not tighten properly. Not that they needed it, but it’s my standard practice to lube things I’m assembling so I sprayed the gears with Dupont non-stick dry Teflon and they turn smooth as silk and the 1:21 ratio makes for precise tuning. I’ve not had any problems with the guitar holding tune. Alert, you have to pull the string up to the top of the peg hole so the locking shaft clamps it at the top, not on the side. Otherwise the string will be on the side of the locking shaft and slip out of as you tighten the string. Again, pull the string tight through the peg hole and lift up to the top of the post hole so that when you turn the locking screw the shaft meets the string at the top and locks it. I find the materials and engineering of the tuners to be above their price-point and I’m totally satisfied with them.

I bought these as replacements for the worn out machine heads on my 1976 Kiso-Suzuki W300S. They fit the headstock holes perfectly. The small screw holes on the back didn’t line up exactly, but close enough that the old holes are covered. I really like the string lock mechanism, it makes re-stringing the guitar easy and the strings on the high E and B stay put while winding. And they look awesome. Very smooth mechanism. Great quality for the price. The closest thing I could find at my local music shop was double the price. I like em.
