I was using the older XT2 for years and decided to upgrade to this one. Very happy I did, its much faster to setup and has features that are not found in the XT2 and for the price, its worth the upgrade.

Working just as intended. Show seems to be built a little better than the previous version, that I broke after a few years of use

This syncs perfectly with my V1 and strobes. Fits snugly on the hot shoe and doesnโt add a lot of bulk. So far so good!

I have had the R2 unit for awhile, and began to see Manny Ortiz in his tutorials have a flash controller that had this large, illuminated screen with easy to read menu options. Found out it was a newer version, and just received it. Easy to connect, made it work with 2 flash groups,,a Flashpoint 600 and 2 speedlights. The beauty of it is that it is SO VISIBLE in low light and easy to navigate, reduce flash power and see your groups easily. Highly recommend.

Have had this product for about 6 months. I used Energizer Lithium Batteries and still have lots of juice left even after dozens of shoots, so battery life is good.I find this transmitter works very reliably and is easier to use than the X1 which is why I purchased this flash, and you can easily control a group of flashes for portrait shoots. It is also affordable, esp. compared to native Sony flashes. The only downside of this product I found is that it can sometimes not work as well if you are using a complicated setup, I have found that while my flashes always fire, sometimes when I set the flash power in the transmitter it doesnt sync with the flash, and have also had some issues with high-speed sync and the zoom feature not working between the flash and transmitter. These small issues can be annoying at times but the flash has always fired consistently so if used in manuel mode or adjusting the flash directly it works every time. Overall a great value for your money.

Other than occasional misfires, hence the 4 not 5, much improved over the X1T and easy to use with multiple flashes at various settings.

There is an earlier, less costly version of this device - but I spent the extra ($20) to have this one because of the better LCD and menu setup. The device does so much that I'd be afraid to NOT have the better LCD and menu. It works perfectly in conjunction with my Godox flash to give me high speed sync, TTL, multi-flash, and all the other functions of my flash - but with the flash off camera.

A big improvement over the original X1T-S.If you're upgrading from the original X1T there's a bit of a learning curve but nothing major. Use it for a bit and you'll appreciate how easy it is to control your lights. Aside from the improved functionality, the manufacturing specs are a lot tighter... no more fiddling around with the loose spinner wheel or doubling hitting buttons. With respect to functionality, my favorite new feature is the TCM (TTL Convert to Manual) function. It will allow me to take a shot with my key light in TTL mode and the have the XPro convert it to manual settings. From there I'll me able to dial in my desired ratios for other light. Brilliant. I also like the fact that I can now control the zoom settings on my flashes from the camera.Note: Maybe because I initially loaded almost dead batteries, my unit would only switch between Manual an Multi modes. I had to reset the unit (pressing the F2 and F3 buttons simultaneously) to get full functionality back. No big deal, just a heads up in case you find yourself in a similar situation. With respect to the vendor Emgreat (or Pergear), I highly recommend you purchase from them. I've dealt with them for all my Godox purchases and they have always been very responsive to inquiries. I haven't had any warranty issues but I'm sure they will stand behind their sales, I've seen them go the extra mile helping out someone on Amazon.com that didn't even buy their Godox flash from them.A nice touch with my XPro purchase was a card from Emgreat offering a free extra six month warranty on the product. Nice touch.
