- The S-R1 adapter slides onto rectangular flash heads to provide a round magnetic mounting point. Gridded rubber mats on the inside surface of the adapter provide scratch-free grip, and a screw on top helps tighten the adapter around flashes of different sizes.

This is my third S-R1 Flash Head Adapter from Godox. I purchased the Godox AK-R1 round head accessory kit, and this adapter allows me to use those magnetic light modifiers on my rectangular speedlites. While it's a pretty basic design, it's made well as Godox products tend to be. The adapter screws onto the speedlite head, and bands of rubber help to grip and hold it in place. The knob is knurled and easy to tighten. This adapter and the AK-R1 kit open up a world of creative possibilities with your humble speedlites.

If you've ever wanted to take advantage of light modifiers designed for round flashes, but don't want to give up your Canon or Nikon rectangular flash, this Godox S-R1 Flash Head Adapter is for you. I found it easy to attach to my Canon 480EX speedlight.The adapter fits over your flash head. A screw tightens it. The inside of the adaptor has rubber inserts so as not to mar your flash. I borrowed a couple of light modifiers from school that fit the Godox flash, and they all attached perfectly to this adapter.This adapter is a great way to get some additional utility from your existing Canon, Nikon, or other rectangular head flash.
