When do you need this TPMS relearn tool TPMS reset tool for Chevy Chevrolet Cadillac GMC Buick GM?
1. After tire rotation, replacement, maintenance and exchanging;
2. After tire sensor replacement, maintenance;
3. After replacing Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Module;
4. The TPMS warning lamp is on, after the maintenance, you would use this tool to remove it;
5. Due to some problems, the tire sensor can't be recognized, you can use this tool to try to activate it. If can't, you would buy a new tire sensor.
How to use this TPMS Relearn Tool EL 50448?
Step 1- Enter relearn mode
1. Set the gearshift lever to 'P'
2. Put the ignition switch to “ON”
3. Enter the interface of tire pressure display by DIC
4. DIC shows 'Press Set / Ctrl to relearn
5. Press “Set / Ctrl”
6. The turn signal is lighted for 3 seconds and the horn beep sounds twice to enter the learning mode
Tips: Different car brands or models may have different setting. If this can't enter the relearn mode, please read your car manual or consult a mechanic.
Step 2- Activate 1st tire sensor
1. Start from the front left wheel.
2. The antenna would be placed at the sidewall of tire where aligns with the valve stem.
3. Press and hold the Resetting button(with white dot) to activate the tire sensor until it succeed. If not, trying other angles and nearby positions( the rubber tire where is close to the rim and the valve stem).
4. The activation is successful when the horn bleeps. Then do the next tire.
Step 3- Same method to activate other tire sensors
1. Follow the instruction step#2 to activate tire sensor of the front right, rear right, rear left tires.
2. Turn signals is lighted for 3 seconds or the horn bleeps twice when the learning is complete.
Special reminding:
1. Install the 9V battery. The battery is not supplied in the package. You would buy it before using this tool.
2. The 9V battery would be new or full power. Otherwise, the resetting would be failure.
3. Make sure all tires' pressure are in accord with the driver's door placard suggested.
4. Your car should be in TPMS learning status.
5. Resetting order of tires: front left ->front right -> rear right -> rear left.
6. Antenna of tool should aim at the tire sidewall where is close to the valve stem.
7. TX green indicator means signal sending. Beep sound means resetting successfully.
8. When resetting, other wireless devices would be turned off which many cause RF disruption.
9. Tire pressure sensors would be OEM/OE. Aftermarket sensors may be failure.

After trying twice with no luck I started to return. Tried one more time and it worked. Has a VERY short range. I touched the tire nearest valve stem to make it work. Before I held it about 3 inches from valve stem.

This was really easy to use in the garage. Just had to pop in a 9v battery and was ready to use. For my 2018 Chevy Cruze, I just first had to engage my parking brake and switch the ignition on by holding down the start button for 5 seconds with the vehicle off and then scroll through until I found the tire pressure readings and hold down the “check mark” button on steering wheel to enter “learn mode” then step outside and hold the programmer close to the valve stem of tire then press and hold button on programmer and wait till I heard the honk (from vehicle) and repeat until all four tires are done and car honks twice when your done to confirm. On some tires the programmer instantly sets and on the others it would take close to 20 seconds before it programmed so be patient. If the programmer isn’t working on your vehicle then check online for proper re-learn procedure for your specific make/model/year. That being said make sure you purchase the correct programmer for your vehicle.

After researching, this appeared to be the correct tool for our GMC 2024, but it did not work, even though the description said it would. Returned it and hope to find another that will.
