Ugly color in real life. It is yellow and looks dingy.

The box seems sturdy enough, and I like the plastic piece inside that holds the cards in place. However, the color is described as black agate and the pictures make it look black & white, but in person the box is yellow and gray. It’s very different looking than what I was expecting and doesn’t match my other desk supplies the way I had hoped.

This Globe-Weis box for 3x5 cards is great. It is very heavy cardboard and even though it was mailed in just an insulated paper bag and shoved in my mailbox, it surprisingly has no dents. The ad says it holds up to 1000 cards; however, that is not possible unless you pack them very tightly. I used heavyweight cards; there are 800 of those plus about 50 regular weight cards (the yellowed ones in the "verbs" section) in photo #1 and the "adjustable follower" is as far back as it can go. Photo #2 shows the interior length of the box is just shy of 11 inches and the follower takes up about an inch of that. The cards are not packed in tightly or I wouldn't be able to flip through them so I think 850-900 is about as many as this box can hold effectively. Photo #3 shows if the cards are packed, there's probably room for another 100-150 cards. Photo #4 shows that whatever is used to attach the metal label holder on the front of the box protrudes into the inside of the box. This is not really a problem; just be careful inserting a new card at the very front---it might catch on one of the metal pieces. I have at least 400 more cards to make so I am very likely to buy another one of these boxes.

The corner of one box gave out a spilt. The boxes are nice but did come damaged which lead to one box spitting in the corner :(

These are a bit overpriced anywhere you find them (especially local business supply stores), but these were noticeably cheaper while delivering the same quality. Sturdy, has a card follower to keep things in place, it does exactly what you would expect.

Ordered the black agate but as you can see from the photo, the item is not that colour at all. I was expecting a black and white speckling but it's grey and beige. Not sure if it's faded or just a mix up...Product itself seems fine and will work for its intended use.

This is a fantastic box and it houses my 3x5's perfectly! The sliding divider inside the box is a wonderful feature and it keeps my cards upright. I will definitely buy more of this box for my ever-increasing volume of cards.

I was a bit skeptical at first reading the other reviews. Still, I purchased one of these items and I am not disappointed. It fits my 3 x 5 index cards PERFECTLY and the stopper is very easy to use. The stopper holds the cards up nicely so they do not fall over in the box because they will. Only thing I am not pleased with is the name part in the front has a metal that is bent over . Not sure if it is part of the design but it looks tacky and should just be a name slot holder. With that, I was able to get my name on the paper that goes inside and put it inside the name holder relatively easy. If you have kids the metal part attached to the name tag bent over can be unsafe as it is sharp on the edges and hard to move. Thanks !
