Not very sturdy.Each telescope mount is somewhat flimsy. It's easy to misalign them and then you're dealing with double vision and eye strain as you try to converge right and left eyes.I bought these as an emergency back up for my Designs For Vision loupes. Hopefully I'll never have to use them in the OR.

I’m a dental hygienist- absolutely NO need to purchase the expensive loupes. These are great! I can sit straight, not bend my neck and see great! 2.5 sufficient. Maybe you want 3.5. But must pay attention to the ‘working distance’ when shopping. These are proper for dentistry. Don’t be led to magnifiers that are meant for close work that you do with your hands....like near your chin distance.Very happy!

Loupes are great, light weight, great back set while my normal loupes are being repaired but battery working time is only about an hour then goes dim.
