Works fine but the plastic covers for the springs are off-gassing like crazy. It smells truly horrible, even my recycling where I put the box is noxious.

Purchased the chest spring and used it for few weeks. It worked great for the first couple of uses, then I found out the spring is starting to stretch and loose. Some how I could not find the seller on Amazon. All I want just a replacement spring.

Strong Springs only issue is the handles are too small to put my foot through, which makes curls difficult. Came VERY fast and the springs have plastic tubing covering so you don't pinch your skin while exercising.

Much stronger then we thought, but will clips to hold the springs, we can remove any number for the desired strength.

This is my second Chest expander. The first one cost me as much but the springs were made of rubber. The rubber broke one after another. This on Chest Expander is very well made. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the handles are small. The tension is great. No store sell this outside Amazon. I look around in few sporting good stores. There is a safety plastic sleeve around the spring in case it broke.

The Amber Sports Spring Chest Expander is a decent product. My dad got his chest expander in college over 30 years ago and the technology has not changed. Unfortunately, the quality has though. His chest expander was made for a man. The handles were big enough to fit the hands into. The springs didn't stretch out as soon as you used it and the clips to take on and off the spring were very simple. This chest expander has too small of handles, the springs stretched out the first time I used it, and the clips cut me twice trying to take off and the springs. I still use these springs but I was very amazed how 30 years can go by and the quality become worse.

You gotta be kidding! This "exercise device" is a joke and I'm real sorry I ever bought it,enough to leave Amazon if they're going to put their service on junk like this. The exerciser is very small, too small to come out anywhere's near arm's length on any exercise. I bought steel springs because I had a number of elastic bands break on me, and if this is the future of steel springs, the old time strongmen are turning over in their graves. Before this I had two Altus sets (also sold by Amazon) where the elastic bands pulled out of the holder in the handle. It seems that, unlike many other items, Amazon does not check out its exercise equipment, and it has potentially-dangerous and very cheap items like Amber and Altus on its list. Chest expanders are great, so check the web and buy elsewhere!

I have been looking for this item for several years. This is exactly what I wanted. I have seen (and purchased) similar items but they all failed to meet my expectations. This one is functional and durable. I am pleased to have and use it.
