Yeah you could use an old coke bottle and some tubing.... but this is so affordable and less likely to spill and has built in lanyard (Or magnet) for hands free ease. And it comes with a short length of tubing too.Specific to this bottle I’ve used it twice now and continue to find the quality great for the price range. Top fits on securely and everything is solid. I have some s-hooks meant to hand calipers when changing pads so I hang the bottle from the shock springs with that but you can also hang from wheel studs or wherever.Love that there is a nipple on top off bottle to close the loop on the tubing while moving between wheels to prevent drips.I have been using with the old fashion two man job - let my wife press brake pedal while I bleed each wheel. Will say the tube end is getting stretched out so going to have to cut an inch off next time and likely replace some day but that’s expected I believe.

I bought the hanging cable version of this and it works very well. I was able to bleed my brakes easily by myself with no issues. The tubing is soft and flexible and easily fits over the brake bleeder screw creating a perfect seal. The bottle is big enough to hold the old fluid and can easily be emptied when full. I am very happy with the quality of this product and recommend it as an alternative to other more expensive products.

Great little bottle. Much easier to use vs. a home engineered soda catch bottle. Wire makes easy hanging, it empties quickly by placing your finger over the vent on top and sqeezing (eliminating spills), hose is nice and flexible and it was reasonably priced. I was able to hang this, open the bleeder screw and let my Motive bleeder do the work while I focus on other stuff for a few minutes. Should have purchased one years ago.

First off, the item was placed in the shipping package with the bleeder tube in the top of the package, so when I used scissors To cut open the package I cut a small slice in the tube. Secondly, the tube looked too have been used, the tip is preformed as though it was used on a large bleeder port. Thirdly I thought I read that this part had a check valve , that was not the case. So I started to use the tool for bleeding my rear breaks , I put a bit on brake fluid in the bottle as to not allow Air back into the system. Fourthly , when I pushed the paddle, it pushed fluid out of the short center breather tube, what a mass 🤨. Had the seller taped the tube to the bottle it wouldn’t have been able to work it’s w to the very top of the package, just saying.

This is a really good bleed bottle.. I used it to bleed my brake's on my 2015 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R 636.. It does a fantastic job.. Not once did it leak anywhere, Around the lid or on the connecting end of the hose.. Just don't tightin the lid super tight...The wire that come's attached to the bottle is okay, But don't expect a miracle.. It need's to be longer.. And the hose that come's with this, Could use 2 to 3 more foot added, At the very minimum. I had to buy 3 more foot of clear hose to add to the hose that come's installed, No biggie tho..Warning, Do not use this with a mityvac... I did and it almost collapsed the entire bottle, lol!All in all, I love this bleeder bottle... You really cannot go wrong with it...

This is a much better capture bottle than ones that come with bleeding kits. Have several kits and the bottles that come with them are very small, they leak and can't hold a vacuum. Basically the others are worthless. This unit is much larger and has a good seal. I use it to vacuum bleed my brakes and clutch rather than pressure bleed. When vacuum bleeding you need to first seal the wire strap's rivet with silicon as it leaks. Whether it will also leak fluid under pressure I don't know but suspect it might and as you probably know brake fluid is a great paint remover. When under vacuum the bottle does want to collapse but its not much of an issue since the vacuum isn't that great. You could probably put some stiff plastic inside the bottle to keep it from collapsing if that's a concern.

I've bled the brakes on many vehicles -- for others and for my own. I've got to say, this bleeder bottle works great for someone who dreads asking others for help. I can just hook this up to the bleeder valve, loosen the valve, and hop in the vehicle to pump and bleed the brakes -- all by myself! Securing the bottle with the cable was easy, and I don't feel that the cable will break. I couldn't ask for a better tool to effortlessly make my life so much easier. In addition, the price was quite reasonable. Simple tool, simple price, and lots of smiles. Hell, I bought more as Christmas gifts to some of my other backyard mechanic friends. They're going to love it :]I strongly believe in buying the right tools for the job, and this is definitely one of them.
