It’s great for a one person brake bleeding job, absolutely. Works like it should and you would expect! This one, for European cars (my BMW) fit perfectly on the fluid reservoir and caliper bleed nipples.FOLLOW THE INCLUDED directions exactly!! Not the ones you saw on YouTube! 10psi is plenty- not 20psi!Add fluid to the main pressure container AND the bleed bottle upfront using this! This insures no air sucked back into the brake lines!

After spending several hours struggling unsuccessfully with a vacuum type bleeder and leaky bleeder screw threads (tried pipe dope, teflon tape and grease to no avail) I gave in and ordered this pressure bleeder. This thing rocks. Filled pressure tank, attached cap to master reservoir (very good seal), clipped dump bottle to caliper. Pumped up to 20psi. I had replaced the rear calipers and all caliper hoses on my late 80's Mercedes C124 brake system, so there was a fair amount of air to be bled out along with ancient fluid. System was completely bled at all four calipers in about five minutes and I have a nice hard pedal. All the seals in the pump worked great and pressure held very well through the entire procedure. Definitely one of those "Why I didn't I buy one of these years ago?" tools.

### Product OverviewThe SMOTIVEPRO 2L Manual Brake Bleeder Fluid Pump is a highly practical tool for both professionals and DIY mechanics. Designed to facilitate easy, one-man operation, it allows you to efficiently bleed hydraulic brake and clutch systems without needing an extra set of hands. It is suitable for a variety of vehicles, including those with 45mm threaded hydraulic reservoir caps, commonly found in European models.### Key Features- **2L Tank Capacity**: The brake bleeder features a 2-liter fluid capacity, making it well-suited for most automotive applications. It also includes a 1-liter waste oil container with a transparent hose, allowing for easy monitoring of fluid disposal.- **Durability**: Built from high-rigidity plastic, this tool offers corrosion resistance and long-lasting performance, even in tough workshop conditions.- **One-Way Siphoning and Quick Connect**: The unit employs a one-way siphoning method, which ensures that air doesn’t re-enter the system during the bleeding process. Additionally, the quick connect and pressure release valve simplify setup and operation.- **Anti-Clogging Nozzle**: The pump is equipped with an anti-clogging nozzle protector, preventing brake fluid buildup in the hose, ensuring smooth operation and less maintenance.- **Pressure Monitoring**: A built-in pressure gauge allows you to monitor the pressure at all times, enhancing both safety and efficiency during the process.### Ease of UseThis brake bleeder is designed for easy operation, even for one person. The unique base design provides extra stability during use, while the ring wrench included helps prevent damage to screws during operation. This makes it an ideal tool for home mechanics and smaller automotive repair shops.### Who is it for?The SMOTIVEPRO 2L Brake Bleeder is perfect for anyone looking to maintain their vehicle's brake system independently. Whether you're working on cars, motorcycles, or even small vehicles like ATVs, this kit provides everything needed for effective brake fluid replacement and air bleeding.### Final ThoughtsWith its durable build, efficient design, and ease of use, the SMOTIVEPRO 2L Manual Brake Bleeder stands out as an excellent option for anyone performing brake maintenance. It saves time, ensures safety, and delivers professional results without the need for a second operator.

Used it dry (no fluid into the pump container, just to pressurize the car's reservoir) to complete the job but there are some issues. 10psi for front, 12psi for rear wheels was sufficient. This seems to be an exact clone of Ares (or one is a supplier to the other) and is a better design than the Motive pressure bleeders from which the name of this company appears to have been derived!Positives:The plastics and hardware are good quality. The included cap fit the reservoir properly. The tube length from the pump to the car reservoir cap was long enough to keep the pump on the ground next to the car. You would need a suitable table or bench if using a four post lift to bleed without taking off wheels. The caveats:1. The quick connect to the cap for the brake reservoir on the car is prone to leaking if the tube is moved or the cap is screwed and unscrewed several times as might be necessary in dry bleeding. Need to disconnect, and connect it back until it seals. The nut at the tube end of this connector is counter-intuitive. Tighten it first and then connect it again to the cap.2. The first few pumps from zero pressure may make it look like it is not working. Pump it about 8-10 times before you see the pressure guage move.3. The old fluid collector bottle is handy without purchasing it separately but you will need to punch a small hole near the top for air to escape as fluid pours into it. Otherwise, it will not work properly.4. You do not need to push the tube all the way into the collection bottle just enough to insure it won't come out. Otherwise, the tube may become too short.5. The bleeder connector for the collector bottle works best with exposed caliper nipples that are 1/4" or longer in front of the nut and have a sufficient lip over which the connecting rubber can extend so it stays connected. This was the case in my rear wheels. But the front wheels had a shallow nipple that wasn't long enough to hold the connector properly making it prone to coming off especially if the bottle placement puts pressure on the connector to disconnect. Best to hold this connector pushed in with your fingers while bleeding for such nipples.Seems like somebody should come up with a simpler design for dry bleeding that can be sold cheaper. You just need a hand pump with a pressure guage and a connector.
