Works great. I've been using in frequently and have had no problems. Speaker is good. Only ever use it for cassettes. No auxiliary but with built in speaker that's fine. Just no way to record other formats to cassette.

I was doing some cleaning out and found a box of my classic (old) tapes but nothing to play them on. This little radio/player is just perfect. Doesn’t take much room, works great and sounds good. Get a lot for the money.

Nice little radio & tape player. However when trying to put the 18650 batteries in is a nightmare. They don't fit. You have to force the batteries in place either by pushing real hard or hitting then with your hand.After the 4th attempt I finally got then in place (I think). One maybe two more mm's they would fit like they should. It a manufacture defect. Try not to damage the battery while trying to get them in place. Without those 18650 batteries the USB rechargeable is useless. Maybe Amazon should install the 18650 batteries and add the price of the batteries. Buy 18650 batteries from Amazon. Them are a couple of mm shorter and they fit in the radio with no problem, I bought the 6 pack of batteries.

To start off, this cassette player is really well made. Unlike what you might expect from something made in asia, it's very heavy. I have the 4-D cell batteries and with the batteries. In itIt's enough to make a big difference in your travel.Carry on bag. Everything on it.It's nice and sturdy, and even though it's just one speaker, it sounds pretty good. I'm not gonna say it sounds great, because it doesn't. It's a little bit tinny, but the sound itself is pretty crisp. Also, you can crank it up pretty loud without very much distortion

Me and my wife got this radio to help host a Murder Mystery game we hosted. The game had a cassette we needed played because it held clues.The radio is small and very basic. Love that. The cassette player worked without a problem. The radio is the main jewel. I use it all the time when I am cleaning my house. The volume is beast. But no matter how high I have it, the speaker is clear as day is long.I love it's both battery and AC power cord capable. Never know when you will need it if the power goes out.All in all, we love this radio.
