The cd player has stopped working with less than 2 months of using it (only used approx. 6 times), but past return window as it was a Christmas gift.

This great grammy gave to 4 year old for Valentine's day and he's thrilled. Lots of cds on for kids on Amazon.

As little disappointed when I open this assuming that the color was the same as the color in the picture however it's just like a very dark navy color blue The picture shows more of a teal pretty color.

The Curtis SRDC243M by Sylvania is a classic CD Player that has AM/FM radio built in in the style of a boombox. It is sturdy, made of quality materials and withstands the test of time.I've been using this model for over 20 years without issue, until a power outage caused a shortage on my old model.The audio quality is crisp and loud and it gets the job done.I recommend this to anyone who needs a simple CD player/built-in speaker combo.

My kids tell me I'm outdated and need to be with the times. BUT, I love the cd player.....it's just what I was looking for. It works great and I hope I have many years of listening to my "past time" cd's.

Despite the warnings in other reviews, I bought this for its simplicity, price point, and charming color. I was particularly excited because it was toted as being CD-R compatible. Initially, I was pleased. The first time, I played a brand new CD, and the player worked great. The second time, I had a far different experience. I put in a different cd. It played the first song. Then, the numbers changed as though it was progressing through the play list, but the disc simply continued to spin with no additional songs playing or sound. I tried 5 more CDs and had the same experience. They would either play one song and spin without playing more or spin without playing at all. These were all purchased CDs. So, I have essentially purchased a radio with a non-working cd player. Needless to say, I wish that I had heeded the reviews and not wasted my money. I plan to contact the company. Horribly disappointed with this product.

The only con is that it plays the FROZEN soundtrack over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Maybe I should get my six year old a different CD. Oh yeah, the volume seems to get stuck on high. I ask her to turn it down, she yells OKAY........ and ........ no change.

Very nice little CD player! Works perfectly. Even played a CD that was very old and had scratches on it. I love the smaller size of it too. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because while the sound IS crisp and clear on it, I wish it would play just a bit louder, because I like my music LOUD. But certainly for it's small size, it plays very well and will fill small room with plenty of sound, and that's what I got it for. I'm happy with my little CD player purchase and so far so its certainly worth the money!

We bought Sylvania SRCD243 Portable CD Player with AM/FM Radio, Boombox (Blue) a month agoBought 4/19/16 for my 9 yr old granddaughter to replace her old one. It is next to her bed and is simple to use. She loves it. She listens to CDs when she goes to bed and sometimes when she is playing in her room. It never leaves her nightstand. I don't know what everyone is reviewing and Amazon lumps review for various similar products together but our player is holding up fine.Follow-up: As of June 1, it still works fine. It is very lightweight and it is probably cheaply made. As such, it won't stand up to a lot of banging around. However, it has great sound, very crisp and clear. Radio works better than the last one we had. It doesn't have an antenna on ours. She gets her favorite station on this one without an antenna and couldn't get it on the old player with an antenna.
