I use this ratchet every day at work. It works well and holds up.

This ratchet is nice and durable but it doesn't have a quick release button. This becomes an issue for me when my hands have oil or grease on them. I cannot remove the socket because my hand keeps slipping. All my other ratchet have a release button and I don't have this issue with them. I'll never understand why Gearwrench chose not to have this. I have a 3/8 Gearwrench ratchet and it also does not have a quick release.

Works well. I always use a breaker bar before using rachet to prolong rachet life. I always remove Allan head pinch bolt and apply blue locktite to threads and reinstall due to Allan bolt backing out over time.

I received this tool last week from USA. It took a while ,but it was well worth the wait.Wauw what a quality!!, solidly built a bit heavy, but certainly not too. And good looking(little like Snap-On,but that will be even better;also costs a bit more).A great piece of metal. Really works great.Continue looking at other tools of this brand, or similar brands.I'm a frequent user, not a professional.Very happy with it..B.L from Holland

I bought this ratchet cause I lost the one I had. A co-worker had one and told me they work great. When I got it and started using it I was very surprised on how smooth and great it worked. I almost bought a Snap On one which was over $120. I'm so glad I did not spend all that money on one when this one is as great if not even better. I recommend it to any mechanic out there if you are looking to buy a good quality ratchet. This one and all the others of this brand great product.

I bought this instead of my usual Husky or Craftsman because I had been so impressed with other GearWrench items. This Ratchet did not disappoint. With the finer ratcheting teeth I can more easily get things to turn in tight places. The gearing feels good and heavy. The swivel head clicks for better hold instead of flopping everywhere or barley swiveling at all. Great tool for the money.

I find Gearwrench products to be as good if not better than Snap-On, for about half the price. This ratchet is no exception! Quality finish. Feels good in the hand. Reliable. The short-throw of the ratchet is great for tight places. I bought one of each drive size, as well as the 1/2" drive long-handle. I wouldn't trade them for any other brand. I was so impressed I purchased the flex-head ratcheting combination wrench sets in Metric and SAE too. I'm now a Gearwrench fan. I'll buy their tools from now on!

Su longitud es adecuada para alcanzar lugares inaccesibles, su estructura parece fuerte aunque sería mejor con botón de liberación rápida y bloqueador. Se agradece la cantidad de dientes.

I beat and beat this thing daily at work. I over stress it. Use pipes for extra leverage, yada yada yada..... I haven't killed it yet. 84 teeth seemed like a awkward number but its awful close to my snap on 88 tooth ratchet as far as swing goes. Flex head detent spring could be stiffer but hey thats just me being picky. Its worth picking up i can say that.

I love this ratchet. It is exceptional. I replaced my Mac Flex Head with this. I have slowly been converting all of my Ratchets over to a fine tooth design. My Mac (VR18F) was a 30 tooth design and while it was a great tool, the coarse tooth ratchet was inhibiting my ability to get into tight spaces. This not only has an 84 tooth design for low arc, the head is also thinner and that helps as well. I have seen many reviewers talk about the lock up problem. When I bought my standard 1/2 drive ratchet, I went into a store and the ratchet they had on the shelf had this problem and it was obvious. So, I had them order me another one. The one they ordered was perfect and did not have this defect. This flex head that I bought from amazon did not have this problem either. From this, I would derive that Gearwrench had a run of bad stock with this defect, but it is being remedied as I have about 6 newer Gearwrench ratchets that work perfectly and do not have this obvious defect. With that said, I would not let that issue deter you from trying to get a screened good stock ratchet from gear wrench. They are great and the price is unbelievable. In the past, to get a tool with these kinds of engineered features like fine tooth and thin head, you would have to pay hundreds off the tool truck. I have plenty of snap on and mac tools that I bought for that reason. But now with Gearwrench, you can get these features at a reasonable price. It does make a difference when you are working on cars to really like the tools you are using. Regardless of brand name, I have a lot of older Mac and Snap On ratchets that I now consider worthless because the fine tooth technology was not around when I bought them in the early 90s, and I just don't want to use coarse tooth ratchets and ratcheting wrenches at all any more. I like Apex Tool Group stuff and continue to buy it when I need to replace tools, or create a new tool kit for one of our work benches or trucks.

This is a very nice ratchet. And it is a flex head even though picture shows regular head ratchet. Fit and finish is excellent. Very smooth low resistant's ratcheting is nice.Never really used 1/4" ratchets before. Now I see the advantages of 1/4"drive on sockets 13mm and smaller.Spots that wouldn't fit 3/8'"drive sockets. Better feel on smaller bolts without over tightening / breaking. I also boughtthe Gear wrench 120 tooth wrench, but like and use this one. No problems with that ratchet just 120 teeth feelstoo busy? for general use. Have to recommend the CP impact sockets to go with this ratchet. Makes a great pair.
