Well it came with a bad USB cable. I kept trying to get it to connect and work, then I put the cable on my USB tester and there were ZERO connections. That’s pretty bad to include something so cheap, but so essential, and it doesn’t work at all. The menu is extremely simple, but also lacking. There is no way to tell what firmware version you are using, there is no way to turn on ‘clicks’ for easier fast understanding of your environment and could have been done in code easily I’m sure. It seems to have issues measuring low activity levels and there’s no way to compensate it seems. No data logging, can’t figure out how to even firmware upgrade.Then there’s the physical internal problems. The rechargeable battery is good and bad. Generally this is a very bad option for ‘preppers’ as you would need off the shelf power options. For daily users it is likely better. I guess at least it's a Li-Ion instead of a LiPo (it was also completely dead out of the box). I also found the Mueller tube to be haphazardly mounted with double sided tape barely holding it together. And there is more haphazard construction where tape on the back of the display is crooked. If they are this lax in assembly how can I trust the device isn’t messed up somewhere I cannot see? The battery is unmarked so I can’t even tell if they’re lying about capacity there. It appears to use a J613 Mueller tube, which is cheap and generally has bad sensitivity and likely cannot detect beta properly. It needs a J321 instead. You can find this is a swap seen on YouTube. After I did some digging on this device I felt even worse about ordering it.This device also claims to have vibration alert capability, but absolutely does not. Looking at the physical board you cannot see any form of buzzer or vibration device. I also forced a trigger of alarms and it just beeps and flashes, there is clearly no vibration. I won’t bother going into more detail at this time, there is no point, do not buy this device!!!!!I guess if you want something to tinker with and try to fix yourself by installing a better tube and fiddling with firmware, then I guess go ahead for a project, but absolutely no good for out of the box use. It gets two stars for potential I guess.
