When traveling it keeps motor from moving back and forth. I have a 150 Evinrude E-tec and it works GREAT when trailering! Thank You! Wonderful product!

Works great to stabilize the large 2-stroke on my husband’s boat. He has a different set on another boat, but the gator brand has a handy grip to pull them off which he likes better than the other brand.

Purchased the specific 4" version for my Mercury 250 and steering controls. I had to trim 1/4" from both blocks to make them fit. Not a big deal to use a miter saw and do it, but it definitely wasn't an accurate fit out of the box. Seems to be a good product. A little overpriced though for what it is.

Purchased this item to secure my 300 Yamaha from moving on long road trips. It worked great keeping my engine steering from having any damage from long days of transport.One of my two braces did eventually show some wear/ deformation and I contacted Gatorbak customer service. I was responded to immediately and advised how to fix the brace as well as sent a replacement set.I cannot imagine any better customer service.

Good Fitment for purpose and price compared to more expensive options. Make sure to measure both sides of steering rod and the diameter of the steering rod prior to ordering as there are several options.Have approximately ~1/8 total play side to side once installed.No issues and keep motor centered while trailering. Without them, motor would tend to wander slightly on rough roads, even with a transom saver.

Usable for short distances. If your going to tow more than 30 miles I'd recommend a wedge. Works for our short distance to ramp.
Texas Bug Fishing

Used it on 4 trips so far and it is the best I have found. My son fishes Jr. Bassmaster Tournaments and we make 20 to 30 trips a year all over Texas. I've used the hard plastic clips and they pop off never to be found again. Some other brands the material they use is too hard so once it gets warped it never fits right again. The rubber on the Gator-Lock is exactly the right density to provide stabilization and cushion at the same time. It wont warp or crack or pop off. I am using mine on a 2019 Skeeter ZX200 with the Yamaha SHO 200. Added bonus was the super fast shipping! Got it just in time for our next tournament! Thank you Gator-Lock!

So, it's my job to make sure that the back end of the boat is all secure. When our stabilizers bit the dust, I decided to try these out and I am happy I did. I have small hands (I'm a female) so I was worried when I opened the package to find that these are dense thick rubber. I had such a hard time with the "bright orange" plastic ones, but I was amazed and surprised that these not only go on much easier (I put them on at an angle and they just snap into place) they are thick and snug and are easier to install and remove. I highly recommend them! It's bonus that they are connected with a string, too!
