With an improved design and revamped components, the Garmin Tacx NEO 2T Smart Trainer provides a more immersive experience, measures total power and left/right balance, and more.

The Sound of Silence

Redesigned magnets have significantly reduced the internal air displacement and vibrations, resulting in a remarkably silent trainer.

A More Comfortable Ride

NEO 2T Smart reacts instantly to speed or incline changes and allows for movement to the left and right while cycling, following the natural course of your body.

Dynamic Inertia

To simulate an outdoor ride indoors, dynamic inertia controls mass inertia and compensates for weight, speed, and angle of inclination to make your ride feel more realistic.

Add More Realistic Motion

To complement the left-to-right movement of your NEO 2T trainer, snap on a pair of motion plates (sold separately) to allow more realistic multidirectional movement. Adopt a more natural position, and train even more effectively.

Road Feel

This feature works with Tacx software or the Zwift app to make the trainer vibrate and simulate the feeling of riding on different road surfaces, such as cobblestone and gravel.

Ultimate Immersion

When connected to an external power source, descent simulation accurately simulates a downhill drive.

Powerfully Built

NEO 2T Smart features a new motor design that delivers more power at low speeds, resulting in a highly improved ride feel during a climb or acceleration.

Ready to Sprint

32 integrated neodymium magnets allow for a high brake force and high power levels. NEO 2T Smart ensures maximum stability, even during explosive sprints, up to 2,200 watts.

Excellent bike trainer. Very quiet riding experience. I've been using it daily for over 3 months and zero issues.

i have been riding bicycles seriously for about fifteen years. I would consider myself a medium rider. I had been using a dumb trainer with my old bike for times when we couldn’t get on the road. I had a bad accident on my road bike and since i am 76 years old decided to give up the road. I decided to upgrade my trainer and use my good road bike. The Tacx seemed to be the best option. I have subscribed to both Tacx and Zwift. Both are good but Tacx is very much like the real thing. I broadcast on to a 50 inch TV. I have been using the trainer for about two months and it is fantastic. The road/power simulation is better than I imagined and very much like the real road. Very satisfied

Easy to set up. Runs quiet and smooth even when hammering the sprints and climbs on Zwift. I love being on my own bike eliminating adjustments for stem, seat heights, etc., found on stationary bikes. And I have the correct crank length. No electric power required, just jump on your bike and go.

I bought this trainer for my triathlon bike with a Shimano Di2 groupset and regular rim brakes. I have some basic tools for my bikes, but setting this one up will require a whole more that I wasn't willing to purchase. Especially the installation of the cassette (which you need to purchase separately!) is very tricky. I had to get a friend to help me and we finally mounted my bike, but now there is some rubbing going on. We had take everything off again and put some spacer in, but I will still need to pay a mobile mechanic to come out and figure out where the rubbing is coming from. This is not an easy set-up and I am even contemplating selling that trainer again, I cannot image what it takes to get my bike off this thing and fit for riding on the road again.

Setup 🫰🏻🚀

The Garmin Tacx Neo 2T Smart Trainer is nothing short of a revolution in indoor cycling. It’s like having a Tour de France course in your living room, minus the French countryside! The realism this trainer provides is uncanny, from the simulated road feel to the dynamic inertia that mimics outdoor riding. It’s whisper-quiet too, so you can ride in the early morning or late at night without becoming the neighborhood nuisance. Setup is a breeze, which means less time tinkering and more time pedaling. With its robust build, this trainer can handle the most grueling training sessions, making it a top choice for serious cyclists aiming to maintain peak condition year-round. Whether you’re training for a race or just staying fit, the Neo 2T turns every indoor session into a gateway to virtual cycling glory.

My previous gear had large flywheel to simulate road torque, I found this was hard on my Achilles. The TacX is soooo smooth, I have no issues at all. I love the tactile road feel too - you feel the terrain so cool. I think very realistic to road riding, well worth it. Super easy setup, no pair issues with Zwift

Came from a Kurt Kinetic Rock n Roll smart trainer, got a new bike w thru axle, so it wouldn’t really work. Thought I’d miss the movement. The Tacx flexes enough side to side to make it comfortable enough. The HUGE benefit is that I can upload my normal outside rides from Garmin connect and the trainer will replicate them almost perfectly. I ride in central PA with a lot of hills, so have always struggled to create a winter program that will have me ready to go out when the snow is gone. The trainer (with the paid app-but it’s worth it for me) gets the load on grades right (I’m in the same gears, roughly same cadence, same watts-per my power meter pedals), and the subjective effort is pretty close. That’s just using the GPS ride function. It’s nice to also be able to use it with the app (or I’m sure any third-party app) to do video rides as well. The ones I’ve done do a good job with grades, etc.Trainer seems durable, no glitches yet with about 3K miles on it so far. Glad I took the plunge. Getting out this winter/spring has been the easiest ever. Power measured by the trainer matches pretty close to my power meter pedals, too. Cadence is totally unreliable, though.

This is just an amazing trainer. I haven't used trainers (other than the stationary bikes in the gym) and this year decided to ride hard over winter to prep for next year. I got myself a Zwift account and picked up this trainer. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to attach my bike, but literally everything else was super simple. I mean, I have never changed a cassette before - total newb - and this set up was easy. Of course you'll have to buy a cassette, but I simply bought one that matched my bike.Once the bike was attached - literally the hardest part and probably because I have never done anything like this - I powered on the trainer, it connected to my laptop and away I went. Super easy. The feel of the virtual flywheel is perfect. Great ride. Quiet. Felt stable. And the tactile sensation of cobbles and boardwalk and dirt just blew me away. It's going to be a very cool winter. Highly recommended.
