Finally found an affordable & easy to install stand, to turn my bike into a stationary bike. Sturdy too. Told all my friends.

This was well built and easy to assemble. Pay attention to the instructions on using the adjustment nob to put pressure on back tire for smooth peddling. (I'm sure you need to do this with all of these) If the upper settings on the trainer are too strenuous you can also use the bike gears for more choices . It is also quiet.

completely unstable, bike leans when you get on it. spent so long trying to figure out how to make this POS work that now I cannot return it. Wish I could give 0 stars

I read the reviews and yes this item is a little confusing to put together. It doesn't come with good pictures of what it should look like or how a bike should go on it-- so some of the pieces you have to figure out. There are two black plastic pieces and you only use one on the one side when you put your bicycle on the machine. Confusing because it comes with two.The ride is not totally smooth and you need to adjust the tension until it works best for you. May take a little bit to figure out. This did not say a weight limit but I would say 250lbs and under is best. It is a little unstable but works okay for the money. Probably would buy something from a bike shop to ensure a proper product for your situation.Overall the machine itself is made fairly sturdy and it does work once you figure it out.

This trainer is generally well-made and easy to use. The initial assembly is relatively simple--4 screws and one bolt to fasten--but the instructions are pretty cryptic. If you're not mechanically inclined, it's probably good to get help from a friend who knows which end of the screwdriver to hold.Mounting a bicycle is relatively easy--easier than trainers that have two big screws to hold the ends of the axle. The left side of the axle clamp is an adjustable screw with a threaded plastic sleeve that acts as a lock nut. After you get the clamp adjusted, it's important to tighten that plastic sleeve against the frame of the trainer: it will help keep everything stable. The resistance is adjustable to six different levels from relatively easy to moderately hard. The only part of the trainer that is really unimpressive is the controller for the resistance level. It clamps on to the handlebars and it seems frankly cheap--it looks like it couldn't have cost the manufacturer as much as a dollar. Luckily, it works. On my hybrid bike with 26" tires, the hardest level of resistance feels like riding on the flat into a stiff headwind.I am pleased with my purchase of this trainer. I spent about the same amount for a single-speed trainer that has the same level of resistance as the lowest level of this trainer--I was not satisfied with that trainer.

I read almost all of the reviews prior to purchasing this item and am extremely happy with my choice. Some comments on what some people said are issues:1) putting it together. It is 4 screws and a bolt. If you can't make that work off of a picture, you might want to consider not riding a bike. I had to swap over to the skewer provided (very handy to have it included) as I normally use a very light skewer. Took all of about 15 minutes to unbox, put together and mount the bike (that included walking out to the garage to o get the bike.2) noise - I have it in the basement on carpet and my breathing is louder then the noise this makes. I am riding on michelin road tires and it is really quiet - I actually turned the tv down on the first ride.Couple other notes - The folding stand is handy when storing but be careful when moving the bike. The front wheel block is a great addition, but I might replace it in the future something a little better, maybe. As for resistance - I didn't ride much last year but I spent years riding regularly including multiple century rides and regular training loop that is 62 miles long. The 5 resistance settings work very well and were a big selling point to me. I highly recommend this trainer to anyone who is not a crit rider (you should be getting a really expensive fluid trainer anyway). From the average joe/jane to an experienced rider looking to get back in the saddle or stay in decent shape through the cold months, you will be hard pressed to beat this trainer. If it breaks/wears out, at this price/value I'll buy another one in a heartbeat.

Great product, I was skeptical about buying the trainer for my bike because I am a pretty heavy guy, but I enjoy cycling. I am a retired disabled vet and have a few lower extremity injuries, cycling helps me get my cardio in. With the trainer I get my miles in rain or shine. Very sturdy, easy to install and would definitely recommend if your looking for a reasonably price piece of equipment.
