I was concerned with all of the reviews saying how noisy it was. I'm scratching my head as to why people are saying this. My thoughts are the opposite. I'm honestly surprised at how low the noise is ! I have a treadmill as well and that is significantly louder. So I guess it's relative. I always have headphones or the TV on anyways so that over powers any noise from the device.I liked that it was quick and easy to setup. Also it is portable. If you need to move your bike to another room, just lift up the back tire and wheel. After a week of use, I'd definitely recommend this product.

This is the first bike trainer I ever bought so I didn't know what to expect. I guess I thought it would be more quiet and have less vibration going through the bike when you are pedaling. Fortunately there was a video showing how to set it up or it would have been difficult to decipher what to do from what came shipped with it. I still had to get a friend who knows about bikes help me get it set up because it was rather awkward trying to do it myself.

I have purchased many exercise bikes over the years and all the seats are terribly uncomfortable. I ride my classic outdoor bike for 6 months out of the year and it has a great seat. When I saw this, I thought how great it would be to use my outside bike indoors during the cold weather. This did not disappoint!!!!! It is amazing. I have it set up in an outside shed so that I am out of wind and weather but on sunny days can open the doors and see the outdoors and sunshine. It is a little loud but it is amazing. It also comes with tension to make riding easier or more difficult. (1-5) This attaches to your handlebar so that while riding you can change the tension and make riding easier or more difficult. A few things to be aware of: lifting the bike on and off the stand can be a little challenging (I am short and older), it does raise the bike from the floor so it is a little higher to get on, there were wheel hub bolts that needed to be on your rear bike tire for this to work. My bike did not have them so I had to take them off of another bike I owned to use to make this work. For me, it was money well spent! I am extremely happy to be riding my bike during the winter this year!

This is a great piece of equipment. Super easy to set up and very sturdy. However, like the reviews mention, it's pretty darn loud. I think this comes with the territory though. I use mine in the basement and wear earplugs when I workout, so it's not an issue. If you live in an apartment (and care about your neighbors), I'd avoid using this early in the morning or late at night.

Well built frame and product. It fits rear wheels that have nuts on the axle. Replacement spindle also provided if needed. See photos. Extremely easy to use and NO assembly needed. Simply adjust threaded axle adapter to fit axle width and flip opposite red handle. Make sure tires are properly inflated. The provided front tire "cup" ensures stability. Put control on handle bars and "off you go". My bike stand does not get in the way. I adapted the handle bar grips with home made extenders. No bending over or sore back. Sets up in minutes. Perfect for restrictive life style as we are all experiencing. Noise level dependent on smoothness of rear tire. Not an issue for me. I have a 7 speed bike and can use these gear ratios within each of the settings on the trainer. So that gives me 42 resistive levels. Tire ware is reduced by using your bike's gears. Easy to move wherever you want to peddle. Outside the best for fresh air. I am a senior guy and this works!!! Enjoy!!!

I started cycling this past summer and had made quite a bit of progress. Longest ride was 20 miles; on average, 10 miles per day, 5 days per week. I've lost 35 pounds so far. As winter sets in, I was determined to at least retain my gains. Cycling in 35 degree weather in a head wind is not fun!I bought this item hoping it could help me stay in shape. So far, it has exceeded my expectations! This item is exactly as described; it is very sturdy. I weigh over 250 pounds and it supports my weight easily. I have it set up on a carpeted floor and although there is some noise, I don't find it to be a problem at all.I ride an older Trek bike. The set up was extremely easy.I highly recommend this item. Great quality for the price!

Love this trainer! I am 69 years old and started riding again this summer after many years of not riding. I have enjoyed so much building up to rides of 20 to 30 miles, a couple of times a week, with my longest being 51 miles. I wanted some way to be able to continue riding this winter so bought this trainer and am using it while watching bike trail videos on my computer to make it more interesting. (Not quite like having the wind blow through your hair while you ride and enjoy the scenery, but it will get me through to Spring and the outdoors again!) I'm using it with a Kent bike from Walmart with a through bolt axle and nuts, and it works fine. It comes pre-assembled and sets up in minutes, ready to go! The resistance control mounts to the handlebars , making it easy to increase or decrease the effort to pedal without stopping or getting off the bike to adjust it. And the control works great. Some complain about these trainers being loud. I quieted mine by running a strip of duct tape around the tire covering the tread, which quieted it quite a bit; and also set the adjustment screw on the magnetic wheel to just make contact with the tire without a lot of pressure. This made it remarkably quiet and still gives the resistance needed for a good workout. I watched some videos of people setting up their bike trainers and they tightened the screw on the magnetic wheel until it actually indented the tread of the tire a good bit, and this does make it quite loud to use. But that pressure is not necessary. The magnetic wheel with the cable control to the handlebars provides all the resistance you need, so just bring the magnetic wheel to touch the tire with the minimal pressure needed to make the magnetic wheel spin when you pedal. This I am sure will also minimize the wear and tear on the tire that some talk about. I highly recommend this trainer! It's a great value!
