I moved "AWAY" from the iPhones and bought a workman's type heavy duty flip phone no NAV! So I bought this for my my 2013 RAM and updated it as soon as it was charged. It works great, clear screen and good size for me. My Ram doesn't have bult in NAV like my Jeep so this was a great purchases!

This purchase was because I could no longer get updates for my old Garmin. Screen size was like going from an old TV to a wide screen. I purposely didn't get an even bigger screen. I drive a Subaru Crosstrek and there's only so much space. Very clear picture. For me, easy to use as there aren't a lot of fancy changes from my old Garmin. I'm not launching into space. I just want to get around the Tri-state area and back home. No problem with it being a reconditioned unit. Packaging was new and clearly states that it's reconditioned. I checked quite a few replacements and the reviews. This one fits the bill.

WIth Waze on my phone, I was anot sure I needed this. First drive it showed me the photos get to a place that was on an alley. He was surprised when I called as I was there and he did not have to come and get me. The photos showed and unmakerd alley I had to turn in and saved so much time. Then I took a trip to see a relative 1800 miles away. My wife had google maps on. In a couple places where the maps was unclear, this brought me through perfectly. Did not have maps on when coming home. There is a place for a Garmin even wiht cell phone maps.

VERY sad that I have to return this "Renewed" Garmin Drive 52 DPS Navigator.....When you first receive it, you should update it to latest verion of maps through Garmin Express. Easily done.However, it is then you quickly learn that the device's internal memory is full. Even after I checked the Garmin's settings to "Delete Data and Reset Settings", a memory card is still required.So to get your FREE map updates, you need to purchase a microSD card with at least 4 GB storage capacity.What?!! You are reqired to purchase a $29.99 microSD card to keep your Garmin maps updated?!!I was trying to save this Garmin and give it a good home, while Amazon needs to be aware that a memory card is needed when they sell this item. It was returned for a full refund.

I bought a refurbished unit, so the price was cheaper. As far as I can tell, it appears to be new.I bought it as a backup for CarPlay, for when I don't have cell reception, but I do have this Garmin installed and in use all the time - but I depend on CarPlay, which is connected to my vehicle display.It would be nice if Garmin could be shown on my vehicle display, but it can't. I would like to be able to switch between CarPlay and the Garmin on my vehicle display - but it is not supported by Garmin, at least not by this Garmin device.I like that the Garmin always shows the current road, which CarPlay does not. The Garmin also shows the speed limit - CarPlay sometimes shows the speed limit, but not always.Basically, I just like having the Garmin was a backup for when I have no cell reception and CarPlay won't work. This Garmin does not require a monthly subscription, which is very good.This Garmin unit is not nearly as easy to use as CarPlay. But CarPlay can't use satellite, so if there isn't cell coverage around, I'm stuck - and I have been stuck.

I purchased this refurbished Garmin GPS and have used it. I have been using the Garmin GPS for years now and recently bought a new fancy model, that you can talk to....and hate that one..It overheats, cuts out, and won't come back on for hours...but NOT THIS model...it is durable, pretty accurate, and what I like it it will recalculate quickly without making you go back the way it wants you to....that's so maddening ! Being a refurb, there was the previous owners saved places, favorites, and recent directions, and I was astounded because it was from my old hometown.. LOL. I just deleted it all but hey Garmin....are you really looking at these before you sell them on Amazon?This was a good buy and I would do it again...sometimes newer isn't better.

jai jamais itiliser un GPS et j'apprecie le simplicité....et pour un GPS reconditionier je l'aurait jamais su. C'est pcq je sait que cé un rebuilt .....tres contente .

Reçu rapidement et en excellente condition de fonctionnement. Cet appareil me semble absolument neuf, aucune raillure ou autres. La mise à jour de la carte et de l'appareil a été facile. Je recommande.Received quickly and in excellent working condition. This unit looks absolutely new, no scratches or anything. The update of the card and the device was easy. I recommend it.
