Your cart is empty.There is great potential for heat / cooling loss at the top of any garage door. This product is a very good option in combating this. Please see the line drawing for this product. The 3/4″ wide leading edge is a hard PVC material bonded to the 1-3/4″ flexible vinyl material Installed on the top of the door: The hard PVC portion of the seal is attached to the top of the door, as the door closes, the 1-3/4″ vinyl seal bends back making contact with the header of the structure. This results in a very good seal and is typically used in conjunction with side seals mounted on the outside. Installed on the header on the outside of the door is another install option with this product. In this instance the hard PVC portion of the weather seal is attached to the underside of the top of the opening. When the door closes, the 1-3/4″ vinyl flap folds and contacts the door for a good seal. Another option is to install this product on the top of the door and also on the outside of the door on the opening for a double seal. This gives as about a good of seal as you can achieve on a garage door. We install this seal on the inside on the top of the door even when there is exterior weather seal present. This weather seal is also a very good product to consider if you are making a custom weather seal. The hard PVC portion of this seal gives you many options when doing custom work. We have used this seal as a side seal, on sliding doors and in many other situations where there was an air gap. This is a good product to have on hand if you regularly do weather seal work. Works as a garage door perimeter seal and with the garage door weather stripping trim.

While this vinyl strip is thin, it seems to work very well.It comes with enough self tapping screws to complete the installation.I used it on a 12 foot door and had four (4) screws left spacing them about every eight (8) inches.

Easy to install, made from quality rubber and the area designated for attaching the screws is stiffer and that makes the installation quick and secure. Product is flexible and a good value for the money.

This worked well to seal the top of my garage door. My garage is heated and the door didn’t seal properly when temperatures got below zero. The seal works well and saves on heating cost.

The seal was easy to install without help. I measure cut, did the math for evenly spacing all of the screws, pre-drilled holes in the seal then installed it. I used a punch to transfer the hole locations to the door. I found a full size drill fit vertically between the door rod and header. Measure the door's width where the PVC edge will lay to ensure proper screw placement. I drilled holes through the door for each screw as it made it much easier for drivibg the self tapping screws due to the awkward location.One could open the door and install the seal but that will require an assistant and you won't know what you've got until the door is shut.

Very cheaply made, not worth the money I spent -!!!!! Around $80.00 dollars, I could have picked it up here for about $20.00 , sorry !!!

Easy install. I would prefer more self-tapping screws for greater coverage. The draft stopped with this in place...just purchased for our other garage door after trying out on the first.

18 ft was perfect for 16 ft garage door. Measured 16 ft end to end first then cut to size. Then put a mark in the middle. Then drilled 1/8 in. holes approximately every 10 inches starting at the ends. Put 1 1/2 in. double-sided tape on the bottom. Installed it on the garage, using the mark in the middle. Then used the pre-drilled holes in the material to drill holes into the top of the garage door using a dremel. Worked out great for 16 ft garage and used all 20 screws it came with. The dremel was a great tool because I was able to leave the garage door closed and it was small enough to work in between the springs etc.
