Easy installation and it worked perfect on my 16ft door. My garage U shaped track was a one peace bolted on the sides so took it completely off the door, cleaned it and slid the weatherstrip on with some lube. Took about 20 minutes to complete the job. Hopefully it last

Good quality and easy to install. Just slide in from one of the end. Use a bit of dish soap helps slide it in

I would like to give this a 4 star but it would not fit my existing rails. This is a heavy duty piece of plastic just like described. They even included two plugs for the ends.

Good quality, thicker than any OEM product I had found. They come in two "T-channel" widths, be sure you measure and pick the right one for yourself.Would work well on narrower thickness doors, mine was 1 1/8" thick.

Easy install - but only saying “easy” to install because I tried with a different brand and couldn’t get it to slide. If you take your time and line it up thru the T slots while lubricating the track and entry point- it’ll take you 10 minutes- end caps go on and it’s a perfect fit for a 16’ garage door

This made a huge difference sealing my garage door. I did need to readjust the down distance and force but that is to be expected when this was much thicker than the worn out seal. I had no issues getting this on the door T slots like others have, I was able to do it mostly myself, about 12 feet worth before I needed a hand pulling it while I pushed it on. I didn't need to cut it either for a 16" door. The only thing I should have done was uncoiled it for a day or so because the very end, the last bit of the coil, was flattened and you could see a small gap under it when I first finished the replacement. See the photo.

This product is better designed than the rubber I replaced on my current garage door. Based on the previous reviews, it's hard to install and I can vouch for it. You need patience, strength, an extra pair of hands to align it while pulling, and WD40 as a lubricant. Soapy water didn't cut it. There was also part of the rubber where the T was cut which made it harder to pull as it gets caught on the track. At the end of the day, it was installed and seems to stay put. Will see if it lasts for 20+ years like the OEM rubber.

This is a high quality material product that requires patience and perseverance to install as any other garage door gasket does. I had a slight issue and customer service helped me out immediately. I installed the gasket by myself after removing the rail, but would strongly recommend having two people do the job with one person on the end helping to push as the other person pulls. In the picture, I show zip ties around the gasket that help make the circular form needed to slide it in to the rails. The key is using a spray bottle of water and dish detergent to lube the entire rail. The whole rail needs to be liberally wet with the solution as you pull it through and you need to keep spraying at the end as it slides in. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to pull 3-6 inches at a time. The rubber is thick and tough and the needle nose didn't damage it at all. Make sure you put the plugs on each end of the "tube" to keep water from getting in the tube when it rains.

This product has a very good feel - the material has desired elasticity to follow the floor contour and provide a good seal.Packaged in a nice box and once unraveled regains immediately original shape.Taking the garage door apart is a sizeable job and not recommended for inexperienced people. Handling the springs would be necessary and many people got injured since panel garage doors entered the market decades ago. I do not recommend that - even though installation of the weather seal on an upside down bottom panel in an open space would be much easier than when installed. You might consider smoothening sharp edges of the profile you will be sliding the seal into with a file.Get ready with some soap water in a spray bottle or simply in a small bucket with a brush. Make the track wet with soap and keep adding soap on the rubber profile as you are sliding it in. In many cases there is not much room on the side of the door (unless your garage is a couple of ft wider than the door. This is where you may need one person - to feed in the rubber into the Al profile. You need to make sure it is coming in straight and folded in the "U" shape. Another person keeps pulling the end into the profile and the more you have in the more friction you will be dealing with. The last couple of feet is the hardest (and you will be tired). If you are done within an hour you did well. Have a beer!

My garage weatherstrip has worn out and with winter approaching I thought I would replace it. Reading the review, this one came highly recommended so I thought I would give it a try. Order the wrong T-side and got the right one. This job, as mentioned by others, required two persons. Since I live alone and did not want to be a bother, I attempted to do it myself. It was a fight but i didn't give up and finally got it installed. The main problem is the T liked to jump out of the track. After two hours or fighting it, lubing the track with lithium grease, spraying with silicone, I came up with the following:1. Sprayed the track liberally with either lithium grease or silicone spray to lower the friction.2. Insert T into the track.3. Push and pull the seal, push first to start, then pull once it is half way through the track.4. If the T jumps off the track, and it does often, use a flat head screwdriver to poke it back into the track. I wasted one hour to pull it back and retread. Wish I had done this earlier.Once installed, it looks perfect, adjust the down distance on the garage opener, and i am ready to rock. it is worth a fight. If you have two persons, it is much easier I am sure but you can do it alone with a bit of elbow grease.

Installed the 16-foot, 5/16 Inch T-End version of this product. These BOWSEN thresholds arrive in a tight coil. I waited for a sunny day both to do the deed AND to heat the driveway. I unwound the threshold across the hot surface and let the thing bake in the sun for an hour or so. This rendered the material pliant and one less thing to wrestle against.Installation is straightforward and intuitive. Instructions are on the box. Umpteen-bazillion videos demonstrate the procedure with their respective techniques. I suggest viewing a few for a sense of the chore ahead.Fitment is perfect: the both T-ends fit within their respective channels of the aluminum track without issue. After the threshold is snug within the channels, the bulbous inner support regains its circular shape, which is reassuring.Pulling the threshold thru 16 feet of channel is an onerous task. I sprayed garage door lubricant into both channels and I used a pair of locking plyers to slowly tug it inch by tedious inch while a helper guided the thing into the two channels. Total install time for this part: 30mins.BOWSEN provides an extra 15 inches of threshold. I left some length extend from both ends, then let the thing sit for a few hours to relax into its final length before cutting the ends to the door and inserting the plugs.Remember to remove the locking plyers from the garage door track before you begin adjusting the garage door settings. The BOWSEN garage door threshold is an excellent product that I expect never to purchase again--which should be construed as a good thing!
