We have 10-month-old kittens and one of them loves to chew cardboard. We bought another house that he chewed completely through until the roof collapsed in about 30 days! Lol. This house is made very well. He does chew on the edge of the roof, but has not managed to chew through it and we’ve had it for over a month! It’s easy to put together. Each cardboard piece has a number that’s etched in the cardboard that matches to the instructions. You have to look for it It looks good in the room and it’s very sturdy. The entire floor is a scratching pad as well as the upper level “porch area”. There’s an opening between the top and bottom floor for them to climb through too. We highly recommend this house!

My cats love this cardboard house. It’s easy to assemble and much more durable than I thought it would be. Some friends and I got creative and decorated it. We just used markers, but I’m sure some people could create real masterpieces out of this. Fun for us and fun for the kitties as well. My kitties love the scratchy boards that come with this, it’s also very light weight and easy to move from room to room. The instructions are very simple, everything is pre-cut, even the windows, where you just pop out the cardboard. Totally worth the price and so much better than if I would’ve tried to make this myself out of cardboard boxes.

My original review of the "farmhouse" scratcher: All of our cats are at least several years old, most are older. I have only had the farmhouse scratcher for 2 days but it's been occupied every moment of those 2 days. Usually they just go in, scratch a bit and then lounge and fall asleep. Some of the younger ones like to play in it though. I plan on getting the giant castle version sometime, that looks like it would be a huge hit here.It was very easy to put together, all of the pieces are numbered and the photos are easy to follow. (not sure why they ask for you to put a rating on "adhesion", nothing sticks together) Seems very durable. The corrugated pieces are removable so you can flip them over or replace them if they're ruined or puked onUPDATE 2/6/2023 - And a few weeks later I'm returning to add on with a review of the "castle" scratcher, the enormous one. Like i expected, our cats were so happy with the smaller scratcher, i returned not long after to get them an upgrade. And I count it among one of my top best ever cat product purchases. The only time this scratcher is not in use is when i kick them all out of the bedroom at night, because they make an ungodly amount of noise in this thing (not just scratching, but it tends to creak and such when they move on it and i'm a light sleeper). They're in love, I'm in love. It was worth the money. And they no longer have to fight over who gets to lay on the really cool scratcher with catnip on it. If your cats love corrugated scratchers and they love catnip (and if you like seeing your cats in various forts or funny boxes), you want this product.(if youre looking at the photo i took, I had to cut out the window frame of the top level so they could escape that way - otherwise they felt trapped if another cat was laying on the third level since there's not really an easy way for them to jump down there)

First of all I am not a cat person. I was bestowed a newborn kitten abandoned by his mother hours old on May 10th. Afterbirth and placenta still on. I never had a cat before, very allergic to the saliva. But this little guy had nobody to feed, care, keep him safe, healthy and most of to love him. I am a sucker... so my daughter (aspiring Veterinarian) sniped off placenta. We cleaned him up and got kitten formula and a syringe to start feeding him. Look like he was not gonna make it but he did. Time went on and the plan was get him to 6 weeks so he can be rehomed. Within the weeks a bond developed through the asmatic reactions, swollen eyeballs and itchy skin. I accumulated toys for the little boy. At week 4 I was determined to desensitize my allergies so I can keep the buggah. Stumbled onto this cardboard house. Loved the idea that if it gets destroyed not a big deal! Low investment, recyclable and not complicated. 1st off, again it was relativly cheap. 2nd it was a breeze to put together. 3rd it was surprisingly sturdy for a cat. I guess any smallish animal it will do. I lived that it was light weight and movable. My kitten loved it. He was cautious at first but ended up loving his mini mansion. Carwled in and out, up and down scratching the floors of the mansion. It was so fun watching him play. Building it was pretty fun too! I really enjoyed feeling accomplished that I built it by myself. You dont need an engineering degree to figure it out and it's not Ikea furniture. Basically a snap to build! As I was builing it I was thinking for the future and was checking to see if there were add ons that you can buy. I found one that you buy togther but honestly I don't think they connect. Different joinery. I would live it if the manufacturer or designer could nake modifications to have it grown by having add on. It should be easy enough to autocad something to expand so you can make a compound for you fur babies.Overall, very cool, fun, easy and fast to build.
