I think this is a useful tool for very niche circumstances. If, for whatever reason, you have a HDMI port and you need DisplayPort, this is a perfectly suitable tool for getting it done. It requires a micro USB to supply power (the cable is thankfully included).Picture quality is fine and as expected for a digital signal. My only real complaint is that it's definitely not HDMI 2.0 and it can't handle high refresh rates or resolutions. I have to run my 4k monitor at 60hz, which is a bummer since it can go up to 144hz.

When I upgraded my monitor but couldn't connect my PS5, this adapter saved me from an expensive equipment replacement. The 4K@60Hz capability maintains flawless visual quality with zero noticeable lag—crucial for my gaming sessions. Installation was truly plug-and-play; within seconds my MacBook was displaying perfectly on my DisplayPort-only monitor. The adapter's build quality feels substantial, with gold-plated connectors that inspire confidence in its longevity. I've tested it across multiple devices (PS5, MacBook, and PC) with consistent performance across all platforms. What impressed me most was the absence of the flickering issues I'd experienced with a previous, cheaper adapter. This little device has eliminated the need for multiple monitors in my workspace while maintaining peak visual performance.

I have a mini PC that only has HDMI output, but with so many DisplayPort cables lying around unused. This is a handy adapter making it possible to utilize those DisplayPort cables on a HDMI-only source like that.Getting good output out of this adapter, though I'm only using a 1440p display so take that with a grain of salt.I don't have many ports on the mini PC so it's not that big of an issue, but the power port(and that being the less-and-less used micro USB format) required to run this adapter is unfortunately smack in the middle and to the side, too close to the ports on the mini PC, making space a consideration when getting this adapter. The included USB-A to micro USB cable is appreciated, but it's a pretty short one at ~18", you might want to think about the logistics of where and how you're getting that power too.Very affordable and works as expected though, can't complain too much

I have a USB hub and this fit perfect! Connected my Dell monitor to my Apple laptop. I couldn’t be happier! Very easy to use! Super Functional! A tiny tiny lag sometimes but nothing to complain about, you blink and don’t even notice it.

This adapter is great...when it works. As we transition from an HDMI-dominant world of peripherals, monitors, etc. into a DisplayPort world, those of us who can't afford to update our entire suite of devices, peripherals, monitors, accessories, etc. will have to rely on adapters to convert our existing resources to be compatible with new technology. Thus, I ordered this adapter/converter to connect a monitor with a new docking station. The monitor works with all of the 437 HDMI cables I own. No problems whatsoever. Use this converter with a longer DP cord so I can put the monitor across the room and....nothing. Dead. I ended up ordering a 30-foot HDMI cable and it worked on the first try.I was able to get this adapter to work with an HDMI splitter device, so it wasn't a waste, but literally the most basic function wouldn't work.Order at your own risk.

I ordered this to connect a Raspberry Pi to a monitor through a docking station. It worked great, but it can get a little warm while it is working, but nowhere near hot. There is a micro USB port on the device for additional power, which I had to connect or the screen might randomly blank out (that could also have been an software issue). What potential customers should note is that this is NOT bidirectional. It goes from HDMI to DisplayPort, and not the other way around.

This doesn’t work on it’s own and needs a charger to plug with it and uses a lot of space.Secondly it doesn’t work well, if I move even the slightest, it disconnects
