I was amazed we got the right part in the first try! We have a very old gas stove and over time the oven took longer and longer to heat and finally it just stopped heating. Google suggested this part first. My son who’s never replaced one of these did it easily. I think he only used a screwdriver. He removed the 2 racks, then removed the big inside bottom piece (floor of oven) to get to the broken element. Got old element out. You also have to remove the big plate thing it connects to (don’t know what it’s called but it’s what gets heated to make the oven hot). It wasn’t immediately apparent where the connections went bc they were covered.. just under where the element came out is a covered piece and the 2 connectors on one end fit there perfectly into the slots the old ones came out of. Then, in the back left bottom corner of the oven, there’s a metal covering in the corner that needed removed, and the 1 other connector fit there perfectly. No need to remove back panel of oven, or anything else- just the inside floor piece, the metal plate thingie, and the 2 different connector covers. Plugged it in, waited a sec for the pilot to light, and voila! The oven heated up fast! This ole stove still has a little more life left in her now!

It was easy to install, a video on utube was invaluable. The insulators did not match the o.e.m. in that they did not include insulators, but I fashioned some that will "do the trick".

I bought this igniter to replace the one in my oven. My oven wasn't holding the temp and after inspecting the old one, even though it was still lighting the oven, it was damaged to the point it wouldn't hold the temp the oven was set to. It took more time to take the oven apart than it did to actually replace the igniter. Now my oven works great and holds temp like it did after I bought the stove. Decent price and I received it within a reasonable time.

Item as described and arrived ahead of schedule. The only down side, if that is one, is that it was more expensive than buying in the states, even with the exchange rate (just couldn't wait 3-6 weeks).
