Our oven went out. Choice? Hire someone for like 250 or buy this igniter and do it ourselves. Works great and much easier than you think.

OK, if you're worried about whether this is the correct ignitor for your gas oven, know that anything ore than a few years is likely to have been manufactured by the same handful of companies, and they frequently used the same parts. The bracket may not be completely identical, but it will work. Really, as long as the ignitor is mounted near the gas burner, it will work. Also, you NEED one of these whether your oven works or not! There's nothing worse than going into the Thanksgiving holiday and suddenly the oven fails to heat up and the turkey is already in the pan ready to bake.!This kit comes with a couple of the most common connectors and also includes a couple of ceramic wire nuts. I deducted a star just because the wire nuts are very short which makes it a bit more difficult to make your splice when working in the back of the oven cavity. The wires are quite long, more than you're likely to need in fact, just know that a common failure point is the connection so be sure to stuff it as far back out of the oven cavity away from heat as possible. Out of the box this ignitor measures around 120 Ohms, which is juts about right for a good working ignitor. This is a very good price point for a well made kit that you should have on hand, for that day....

Easy installation; however, it would have been nice to have dual mounting fins so that it could be installed in either direction. I hand to install it backwards and bend the mounting fin in the opposite direction for it align with the gas ports, but in the end, I now have a working oven!
