Der "Holzgriff" besteht aus einem billigen Kunststoff und soll lediglich nach Holz aussehen. Ergo handelt es sich hier um eine Lüge in der Artikelbeschreibung. Die Wikinger hätten sich vermutlich totgelacht. Ferner sitzt der Klingenschutz sehr locker und kann mühelos abgezogen werden, wenn der Druckknopf geschlossen ist. Alle Komponenten wirken minderwertig verarbeitet. Das einzige Plus ist aus meiner Sicht der Stahl und die scharfe Klinge. Zumindest konnte ich damit einen Kohlrabi durchhacken. Vielleicht könnte der Hersteller noch aufklären, welchen Zweck die beiden Dinge auf der Rückseite der Klinge haben könnten. Vorsicht! Teilweise auch sehr scharf.

This is an attractive little axe to throw for a backyard game. I don't know about professional axe throwing; other reviews address this. But I appreciated its aesthetic and it has decent weight. However, the grommet on the clasp of the leather sheath was defective and pulled out of the leather the first time I opened it.

So, I actually got this axe to go in a camping gear box. I needed something compact but functional, and this ax fills the bill. It comes with a nice leather guard for the head, so I'm not worried about it damaging other gear.I will say it's smaller than I expected. That's my fault - the seller is very clear on the dimensions in the product description, but you should be aware that this axe is very small.I don't plan to use it as a throwing axe, but rather as a small utility axe. It's sharp enough out of the box for immediate use clearing small brush or making wood chips to start a fire.It's lightweight and seems to be well-balanced, but again, I'm not throwing it, so your mileage may vary.Lastly, I think it's a bit overpriced at nearly $30, so I'm not giving it the full five stars.
