used it for it's intended purpose, to remove the shift rod bushing. however, after beating on it to get the bushing out, which it did do the job, the top had mushroomed, and the tool was no longer straight. Had to hack saw the top off to get the bushing off the rod. one would think this would be made of a much harder steel.
