Like others posted the bolt it comes with strips right out. I even went to a slightly bigger diameter size bolt from the hardware store and it will didn’t work. Ended up just drilling the rubber and hammering out. The aluminum parts feel heavy duty enough, but the bolt I couldn’t get to work unfortunately.

This tool worked great. I was skeptical but it did just fine. The bolt didn’t break while I was using it. Worked for removing and installing the axel bushings. Keep in mind when you use the tool to is grease on the bolt and nut. This will keep the bolt from breaking and makes sure the threads don’t get ruined while using it.

Not sure where this is coming from but the Ford 8.8 has been around for a long time and like most large-volume products it's very consistent in sizing. So I'm not sure who measured for the bolt for this but it's not long enough no matter how you stack things (even using no washers). Some have claimed the bolt isn't strong enough, I don't know as it was unusable due to its length, but I will say that the vast majority of people who break bolts doing this are the ones who didn't use anti-seize and oil and didn't soak the bushing down in penetrating lube long enough. The main metal plates and cups are decent but the washers are *rap and I ended up using some hardened washers I had (along with getting a longer bolt).

Stripped the bolts threads while trying to press bushings in and had to cut bolt off to get it out because it’s very cheaply made
