I've been a pretty frequent camper my entire life. Up until recently, it was always backpacking into the woods. Recently, I got a camper trailer, so I've been able to bring heavier stuff. I got a set of these figuring they would be good for setting up an awning or hanging whatever I might need. I must say, THESE THINGS ARE AWESOME! No more messing with guy lines or tying knots: just clip them onto whatever and pull the rope. I've only used them once (this past weekend), so I can't speak to their durability, but they seem pretty well-constructed, and they're pretty inexpensive. They are a little bulky if you plan to use them for backpack camping, but they're fairly lightweight. I wouldn't use them on a long through-hiking trip, but a short hike into the woods would be perfect. I will definitely take a couple with me on my next backpacking trip.
