Installed these on my 2023 Tremor F-150 and they work exactly as advertised. Installation was straightforward, even without printed instructions—though I’d recommend checking out the helpful video on the product listing if you run into any issues. The hardware uses Allen-style heads and comes with the tool you’ll need, but no Loctite or thread locker is included, which would be nice for extra security.Function-wise, they’re great. The motion is smooth, and I love not having to dig around the cab or garage for my tie-down straps anymore. It’s a clean, convenient solution that keeps things ready to go.My only suggestion? I wish they offered a complementary single tie-down anchor for the opposite side to complete the look. It would be a nice finishing touch and help balance the aesthetics of the bed. Even with that minor detail, this is a solid upgrade for any F-150 owner looking for quick, easy strap access.

I have several retracting ratchet straps. This the first that mount to my truck bed. These came with no instructions, and you might think they don't need any. However, I nearly tossed these things because I could not get them to unwind despite pulling up on the yellow ratchet release mechanism. What I finally realized after some frustration, is that the T handle must be in the full, upright position. If so, then pulling up on the release mechanism will allow the ratchet to unspool. However, there is no way for it to unspool without pulling up on the release mechanism. So, you have to unspool an arm's length of strap, then release the locking mechanism to keep the spool from retracting, then grab another handful of strap close to the ratchet, pull up on the yellow release mechanism again, and pull out another arm's length of strap, and so on and so on until you get the length of strap you need.Other retracting straps I have allow the spool to freewheel and unwind as much strap as you want. Of course, you must attach the loose end of the strap to whatever anchor point you are using, or the ratchet will rewind if tension is not continuously exerted on the strap. IMO, I like that system better. As far as the ratchet itself, it is very sturdy, and has four anchor points integrated into it. The fasteners are stainless steel, which I certainly appreciate, and kudos to the manufacturer for including extras. IMO, these repre3sent good value for money.
